After speaking to an attorney I should be back in school by the end of the week! Let's see......They clearly broke 2 of their policies in the handbook regarding learning clinical procedures; which leads me to..........the hostile environment and a clear case of discrimination (on 2 major counts) Details when it's all over. Wish me luck!

Good luck, although I worry about you going back to the same school. You think it was a hostile environment before?

Hopefully they'll be nicer to you, and follow the policies and procedures they have outlined in the handbook, and school will be a positive experience for you.

while the law could be a good thing, it could also be a bad thing.

possibility #1 - they look at this as "just let her get through it and get her out of here. we don't need any legal hassles."

possibility #2 - now we have to make sure she doesn't make it, by picking up on any little minute error. if we make her life h*ll, she'll leave on her own. the "that will teach them" attitiude.

me :)

I agree with MsPurp...

I'm glad things are going to be handled appropriately...but now they really have a good reason to be out to get you.

Is it at all possible to transfer schools?

I hope things work out for you, good luck!

I would transfer school in your position, glad you've made it this far!! Good luck for things to come!!

Take care, Renee

There's nothing like a notice on a legal letterhead to put closet bullies back in their place!!

I say stick with the present program, they will have to stop this hostile, caustic, ridiculous nonsense!

Good Luck!!!!!

i am totally with rick here. remember the first female to enroll at the citadel? she won the battle, but lost the war. as others have suggested, i would try to get into another school, asap. if not, your lawyer's office will begin to feel like home. you will not be able to focus on your studies the way you should, because of being wary of everything that is said and done to you. good luck!
