Terrified!!!!

I took my boards on Monday and am terrified I failed. I should have rescheduled them due to feeling terrible with bronchitis but figured I made it through 4 years of nursing school with occiput neuralgia and 14 surgeries so I could make it through boards.

The testing center monitor was talking so loud outside the door I could hear him through the my ear plugs. He finally got the message after some nasty looks and fingers stuck in my ears.

The last time I looked I had 245 questions in and the computer shut off several questions later. Has anyone ever passed with that many questions? If I had to bet money on whether I passed I would be deep in debt by now.

Can anyone help with the number of questions taken and passed? :(

It has nothing to do with the ammount of questions you answered. A friend of mine answered all of them and passed. Good luck with the results, we're pulling for you :)

I think it's a feelling we all had after taking boards!! Let us know

what happens. (I believe you did fine!!)

You guys have it so easy now!

I took mine back in the days when you could only take it twice a year. I was pregnant with my first child. I had hyperemesis(back in the days when doctors didn't treat this) I threw up with each of the four tests. test result came back 2 months later-I passed-

so I threw up.

Don't worry about it. My friend took it like 3 or 4 times. finally passed. She is a great nurse

I sat for mine back in 1989. Boy, did we have to wait a long time to hear!!!

A friend took his on Tuesday... found out yesterday he passed. He also had 265 questions. Hang in there!

I took mine in 1988, and it was a two day ordeal!! I failed the first time, like a dummy I took them two weeks after I got married! Too much stress! I took them the second time and passed! :)

You better grow some backbone and learn to stick up for your self or you won't be an affective advocate for your patients-no reason why you could not have called him over to you and asked him to be quiet.Everyone says that the number of q's you are given has nothing to do with how you are anwersing them.Good luck.....

That's right.

14 surgeries ! Wow !

With that kind of experience behind you, even if you failed, you will have the determination to "do it again."

No use ruining your weekend and week worrying.

Just assume the best and carry on !

I took my boards in 1996. I also was terrified.

A friend that I graduated with told me to call the board of nursing in my state and see if they were issuing a licesne in my name.

I tried it and found out 2 weeks earlier than I would have if I waited.:D

Man I feel for you, just keep the faith! I took mine test in the old days too (1979) and thought I failed....but I did quite well.

If you do have to do them again, well lots of people do...and all it means is NOTHING!

i passed! :roll :roll  :p :chuckle
