I have been trying to get into nursing school
for a while. Now I have a way to pay for school, but not for living expenses. I tried to get a student loan, but my credit isn't quite good enough. I'm so tired of all the ups and downs of trying to get in. It's sooooo discouraging. I'm beginning to feel like I should just give up. If I can't find a co-signer I won't get a loan, if I don't get a loan I can't go to school. The only person that I have to co-sign would be my boyfriend, and he won't.
I'm tired of all of this.
Sorry - just had to vent.

Have you filled out a FAFSA to see what you are eligible for as far as grants, not just loans? You may be able to get money that you DON'T have to pay back. www.fafsa.ed.gov
If you do this online and submit it, they'll let you know what you are eligible for...I have friends getting full Pell Grants and are managing to go to nursing school
w/ one modest income of the spouse due to them getting grant money. Contact the Financial Aid office at your prospective school as well just to see what other options they can recommend. That way maybe school finances will be partly or completely taken care of and you can use your saved money for living expenses? Good luck!
