How much is your pay?

I'm just curious...

Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :nurse: :heartbeat

I'm not a nurse (yet!) but I work in a small hospital in the bay area (ca) in the accounting dept. Our new grads make about 48$ an hour (plus full benefits), experienced make between 52 and 65 plus full benefits, per diem nurses make between 62 and 72 with no benefits..

However, a 3bd/2ba house around here costs around 500k. :)

Da--!!! glad i live in NC!

I really want to go to SF! Thankfully I won't be needing the typical 3/2 house.

Southwest Florida (Ft Myers), RN - working PRN pays $26 an hour plus $6 an hour for night shift.

That's horrible...PRN where I work is at least $40/hr on days. Heck, that's just $5 dollars more than what I make and I'm full time staff on days with half the experience as you. Why do they pay nurses so horribly for what we have to go though on a daily basis? I'm tired of it. Getting out of bedside nursing as soon as I can.

I am LPN. My current pay is 25/hr Memphis,TN 6 year experience

One employer is paying me $4 an hour less than what I used to make with a previous employer and $5 an hour less than another. A second employer is paying me $3 an hour less than one previous employer and $4 an hour less than the other. Another branch of the same office of another previous employer wanted to cut my pay by $2 an hour. They also advertise in the EDD website one job for $3 an hour less than what they used to pay me. And when I left them they were paying other people $4 an hour more than me after telling me that all were getting paid the same. Since I am employed, I am not happy but I don't complain much. I know it would be worse to be out of work. :stone

I have 1 yr experience with a BSN. My first job in SC my base was 19.02. We moved to TX and I live in the part of TX that doesnt pay well. I talked the hospital into $23/hr. But I took a job with the state at the health dept. Base per month is 4032.00. No nights, weekends or holidays.

I have to quit reading these because I am getting depressed....38 years experience...25 years in same MD office....4 weeks vac, some holidays...less than $25 per hour in Tennessee...I have been "topped out" for years without any pay raises...even cost of living...

Specializes in Med- surg, Amb. Surgery, Recovery Room.

32 years experience, BSN, certified in MED/SURG nursing and ACLS. Work 2 hrs North of new york city. $43.43/ hr base, days (12 hr shift). No contribution to my retirement by employer.

Tired.....

35.26 (i'm not sure about the cents part). still considered a "new grad".

i really don't think i'm paid enough. nursing makes my back hurt. i'd probably be doing something else if i could make the same amount of money, but i've yet to find that yet :D

You just posted that in Mar 08 and now it is July 08 and gas is $4.50 here in Orange county???It went up that fast? I just moved here in May so I didn't know what it was. I am a new grad applying to many hospitals in OC CA and they pay around 29-30/hr. But yeah, my little crappy apartment (2 bed/2 bath) is 1600 a month. Yowtch!
