How much is your pay?

Published

I'm just curious...

Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :nurse: :heartbeat

I knew Sutter is not as alturistic as they claim to be..... Sutter is SCARY!

Hello again,

Bay Area LVN:

Specializes in nursery, L and D.

When I started in nursing 10 years ago, my base salary as an LPN was 12.50!! an hour. Base for RN was 16.00. That has gone up quiet a bit. Currently I make 0.00/hr to be a housewife, Lol. Talk about unfair wage!!!

Specializes in OB, HH, ADMIN, IC, ED, QI.

I love the way they rave about being nonprofit............that just means that the execs skim the profits for their salaries. Oh the stories I could tell...

Actually, you might deduct from your income tax the salary you would make caring for children (yours), and the hours you cook and clean. Ask your tax preparer, as I'm talking/typing off the top of my head. If people can deduct childcare costs for them to go elsewhere, why can't you deduct the cost of staying home? :p

Specializes in Telemetry.

I'm not a nurse (yet!) but I work in a small hospital in the bay area (ca) in the accounting dept. Our new grads make about 48$ an hour (plus full benefits), experienced make between 52 and 65 plus full benefits, per diem nurses make between 62 and 72 with no benefits..

However, a 3bd/2ba house around here costs around 500k. :)

Specializes in LTC.

It depends......... It's very competative for PHNs, as there's practically no turnover, traditionally; and for nights on M/S, there's no waiting......and in 5-10 years, you might get a PM or day shift.

With working one day of OT every week I make before taxes about 6000 per 2 week pay period. This is the "low wage state" of Texas, Houston area.

Shoot! i need to come to texas!:specs:

Specializes in OB - RN, nursing instructor.

Southwest Florida (Ft Myers), RN - working PRN pays $26 an hour plus $6 an hour for night shift.
