Hi

I have just joined......what is a junior member? as that is what it says next to my signing in name.:)

:) Hi UK nurse!! WElcome!! and I have no idea what that means, but some will tell us. :D

Specializes in Med-Surg Nursing.

A junior member is a new member and when you get over 10 or so posts you become a member and when you get over 50 posts you become a senior member! Welcome to allnurses!!!

Kelly:)

Hi and welcome! It's nice to meet you! I think that the jr refers to the number of posts you make. I used to be a jr but then 1 day it changed to senior, I think when I made more than 50 posts. I just wanted to tell you hello from the USA and western Pa:) :) How's the nurses situtation where you are? :wink2: Laura LPN

well thanu all.

Nurses situaion is poor here. Not enough nurses here in our hospitals. Quite a few jobs about. What about there in the USA U have the same problem?

Specializes in Med-Surg Nursing.

Oh definitely,

The shortage of nurses lies within the fact that because of poor working conditions in the hospitals more and more nurses are leaving bedside nursing and pursuing other avenues in nursing.

Specializes in Community Health Nurse.

Welcome uk_nurse! :) :kiss

Specializes in Everything except surgery.

Welcome :) uk_nurse

What area of nursing do you do, and what country are you from?

Wow!!! I didn't realize that, until I looked beside my name. I am now a senior member!!! Clearly this means:

a. I don't have enough to do in my job.

b. I have no life.

c. (correct answer). I am an intelligent healthcare professional who enjoys the feedback, support and information provided by the allnurse.com team of intelligent healthcare professionals at every opportunity.:D :kiss
