Hello, all!

I need your help! We are having a Jeopardy game for Phi Theta Kappa this week and I need to provide at least ten general health questions.

Got any?

They need to be general enough for the regular public, but difficult enough for people in an honors society.

Thanks!

MIsty

How about:

- symptoms of a heart attack

- symptoms of diabetes

- symptoms of stroke

- benefits of quitting smoking

Is this what you are looking for, I am not sure

Yeah! That's the kind of stuff I need! Keep it coming!!

1. Number of cms needed to be dilated to deliver a baby (10cm)

2. Optimal blood sugar levels (3-7)

3. Average blood pressure (120/80), pulse (60-85), etc.

4. You can do abbreviations...you say one and they need to state what it is...CCU, LDRP, NICU, PICU, stuff like that

If this if for Phi theta Kappa be careful not to get too specific in numbers and such...not all of them are studying nursing, as you know....so stay very very generalized.

Oh, okay...I'm not up on these things! I'm Canadian...lol...sorry!

How about some of the "-ologies", e.g. "The study of aging (What is gerontology?)" or "A doctor who treats conditions associated with the lungs (What is a pulmonologist?)" and so on.

Thanks all! The game went off fine!

Although, there was a girl on the other team, a nursing student I believe, who argued that the grey matter of the brain is called the cerebellum, not the cortex!! She had an attitude the rest of the game!!

So we answered some questions wrong to let them win since we the hosts of the game! How childish!! But they were in a better mood when they won the $50. (to be split between the 5 team members.)

Anyway, thanks everyone!!!!
