Dear father. Saw a 5 hour priapism once. This poor guy was in torture. And then, OMG, the doctor took this HUGE, and I mean HUGE,( must have been an 18 gauge) needle, and a humongous syringe, put it right into the side of the penis and drew out blood. I expected some instant relief, but it was still there.
Poor guy was in terrible pain.
    I'm not even a guy but...ouchie.

I once saw a butt implant infection, probably 2 weeks post surgery and it wasnt pretty, had to be removed (one side at least, not sure if the patient had the implant replaced or had the other side removed)
Heh heh gives new meaning to the phrase "half assed". For the rest of their lives, or until they have it repaired, that pt better do evrything to the best of their ability.

Remember the old clear plastic BIC pens, with the little plug in one end that was the same color as the ink? One of those in a guy's urethra. Just the clear plastic tube part.

if he has to self-cath for his urethral stricture, medicare will give him 4-6 sterile no-touch lubed caths per day.

if he wants something to, umm, click his bic, i'd recommend him to a good urosurgeon for a consult re implants or other cleaner solutions than stationery supplies.

although i must say that one of the saddest cases i ever saw was a guy who had some bp probs or something post op and came to the icu after his penile implant, and got a terrible mrsa infection (back when they were very uncommon) and we had him for five months and he died. never even got a chance to try it out. and his wife told us she told him he didn't have to get it, she loved him anyway...and she never got to take him home.

Saw an ER patient, female, approx. 35 y/o. Was having intercourse using protection and the condom slipped off inside her and her and boyfriend couldn't get it out!

undoubtedly, grntea, that's truly a sad story poor guy, that's why we men need to listen to our wife's, well for those who have wife's.

i was working in emergency rm one night, when emt's brought in a stretcher with two people on it. we recognized the person on the bottom as one of the female doctor in this hospital the one on top was her husband. it seems they were enjoying the fruits of marriage when the doc got a spasm locking her husband in position. we had to give the doc a shot to relax her muscle. it took 45 minutes for the shot to work. a female rn and myself had to stay with the loving couple until the med work. we had to keep up a conversation. what did we talk about? baseball. the doc and her husband were big mets fans. so there we were talking to two naked people join together by the tree of life talking about the mets. after the med work we had to give them scrubs to put on so they could go home. oy!

wow....my heartfelt sympathies to the dr....how embarrassing for her.
it's too bad they didn't have any muscle relaxers at home...
i think i would have tried just about anything to 'disengage', before getting hauled off to the hospital.
