Try to calm down. I am sure it will be a long weekend, but I pray you get good news on Monday. I hope you have happy holidays. Please let us know if everything works itself out. Be Blessed.

And just for arguments sake our text says: only 1% chronic pain pt.'s become addicted to their meds. So tell people to stick it where the sun don't shine.

    Today did not go well!
I had an appointment with the DON today that was never cancelled.
Today, when I called to verify and let her know I was on my way...she very rudely informed me that THEY would be calling ME when they hear from the MRO. This MRO has not yet contacted me and I don't know who to call!

Isn't this a fine state of affairs! I never saw this coming! They were so happy to have me! They offered me a great salary! I finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel and thought that IT WAS NOT AN ONCOMING TRAIN!!! Then, BOOM, train crash?!

I am so ANGRY, HEARTBROKEN AND TOTALLY discouraged and frustrated!
I honestly do not have a clue as to what to do next! I'm at a loss! :angryfire

Thank you all for taking the time to read and respond to my post...I've been through so much pain and rejection lately! It's not over! Now I need to just find out exactly what to do next! HELP!!!!

I have to run...be back in a while
    Take care, my friends, rnmom

I am so sorry this is happening. I would keep checking in with them. Let them know this job is important to you and that you aren't guilty of anything. You have been honest with them from the get go. Although......on the other hand. I don't know about working for someone that is treating you this way. Please keep us posted. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

    rnmom,

Oh my gosh, I am soooo sorry to hear of this happenning to you. My heart really goes out to you. I feel like things will work out, it just takes time. But, I would be on the phone w/the DON asking what exactly needs to be done in order for you ot be cleared for work. Enlist the aid of the person who hired you (if you haven't already done so). Remind her that this was already discussed and again, what needs to be done for you to start work.... Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Call first thing in the am, and demand answers to your questions. You have done nothing wrong!
My prayers are with you, I don't know where you are located, but if there is anything I can do to help, I surely will. Take care.

WOW, thank you so much! I will do exactly that! I think if I don't get satisfaction I will speak to the administrator, too

I just got off the phone with the ADON. She got ANGRY with me!!! "I'VE TOLD YOU EVERYTHING I KNOW! Nothing has changed since Fri. You got me out of a meeting. You need to wait until you are contacted." Oh, and "we can't hire you until this happens" THEY HAD HIRED ME!

All I said (nicely and professionally) What do I need to do to expedite getting to work. I haven't heard from anyone blah blah. There is nothing new. You had ALL this info when you hired me.

I hung up, just sat and cried, then played a snowball fight with ELF til I felt better!

Now what!!! I also called my MD and asked for a letter!

I'm not letting go of this! They had no right treating me like this! I did nothing wrong or illegal! No secrets...nothing was kept from them!

OK, I know people out there know what to do about these kind of situations!

Sounds like they are just stringing you along with no intention of hiring you. I would cut my loses and move on. Especially if you need a job terribly bad. You will be wasting your time waiting on them. It sucks that they are treating you like that. But not every place is going to be like that. My suggestion is with the next job, bring all your medications with you to your drug screening. That way they can have all that written down.

On the drug screen form that YOU have a copy of, the medical officer's name and contact info will be on there. Call that person.

Not necessarily. Sometimes these issues can take a looooong time. I mean weeks. However in my gut I agree with you but typically these issues just take a bit of time.

If I were the OP I'd be looking for another job yet not burn bridges with the current potential employer.
