Discounts for nurses

Nurses General Nursing

So I was doing some Christmas shopping for my wife the other day at New York and Company when I noticed a slip of paper by the register that said, "service occupation discount codes" and it listed Police, Fire, EMT, Teacher and Nurse. I asked the clerk, "I'm a nurse, do I get some kind of discount?" She had me show her proof (I happened to have my license in my wallet) and I got 15% off, ON TOP OF THE SALE PRICE!

I got to thinking, this wasn't even advertised, I happened to see this piece of paper that was codes for the employee to use on the register, I wonder if there are other places out there like this. Does anyone know??

For NY & Company, you can use the offer code 7472 online to get the nurse discount!

I saw an advertisement on facebook, and came here to share this very thing! Good thing I did a search first:lol2:

Wow, good things to know! I generally love the clothes at NY&C and already have T-Mobile service. Can't wait to go clothes shopping now!

After spending nearly an hour on the phone with T-Mobile, they do *not* offer a discount for nurses, but rather through specific employers or a few state nursing associations (New Mexico is the only one I can remember right now).

Isn't it great!? They give you 15% off in the store if you show them your nursing license. I had my doubts but it is true. I did it myself and got a bunch of sweaters at the after christmas sale for like $12 each! A good sale always makes my day. :clown:

When my dentist found out I graduated from nursing school, he gave me a 15% discount. He said it is a "professional courtesy" discount he gives to his patients who are nurses or physicians.

Most national cell phone companies offer discounts based on where you work. Working for my current employer entitles me to discounts with Sprint, AT&T and T Mobile.

Yes! They do this.

Another place that gives good discounts for nurses is www.NursePoints.com

They actually have a coupon for New York & Co that will get you 20% off.

Here is a resource for Nurse Discounts. They have a list of over 50 discounts for nurses and health care workers. 5

The Walking Co. which is a store in a few malls around me and I believe a national chain gives 15% off to hospital worked with ID. They sell Danskos and other "foot friendly" type shoes!
