So okay I'm 20 years old, I already have a little one he's 15 months. I was really hoping I would start nursing school this spring(2016) but somethings came up and well I probably will not be getting in this spring. Anyways this is the only college I can attend, with out driving 2/3 hours. They only accept in Spring Which irks me but I deal with it. So I will most likely try to get in Spring(2017) Seems like so far away. Anyways I might be pregnant if I am, and I already have a majority of my basics I only have like three left over and using this semester on making up some Cs would it hurt to take a year off which means I wouldn't go to school until spring 2018 which seems soooo much far away lol. Would that time mess me up, even if I continue getting basics for maybe my bachelors degree or something (online) maybe seeing if I can work front desk at my local doctors office or hospital...? I really need some help. I know I'm still considered young, and I had my first young but I wanted my kids close in age. Plus since school is not going as planned what would it hurt? Right? Arghg

I don't know what the real question is. If the question is about delaying your schooling, then you'll be fine putting your dreams/goals on hold if you'd like to focus on motherhood. I know plenty of my coworkers became nurses later on in life and you're still young. I started nursing school when my baby girl was 5 months. I couldn't even imagine doing it with a toddler AND an infant.

What?! To be honest, I had trouble identifying the actual question that the OP was asking, as it got lost in a convoluted post, but I'm fairly certain that she didn't come here asking for opinions on her reproductive choices.

In the grand scheme of things I don't think one extra year would make much difference when it comes to jobs and getting into nursing school. If you still have classes to take, or improve grades on maybe there is an online option or you could do them in the evening when your significant other is home from work.

I went back to school for nursing when my kids were little taking prereqs when my oldest was about 4 and my youngest was 18 months. By the time I finished those my oldest was in school full time and the youngest was in kindergarten. Do what works for you and your family. There is always time for school/work. Your babies are only little once and the time truly flies by, enjoy them.

Frankly, I think my suggestion was reasonable considering how ridiculously incoherent that post was. Don't post things on a public forum unless you're prepared for a variety of viewpoints.

You're young girl! 2018 is only 2 years from now. You will STILL be young when you finish and graduate. (Alot younger than most of the people in this forum leaving rude comments. That's probably why they are so bitter. They don't know how to age gracefully so they envy youth LOL).

Anyways, I doubt waiting til 2018 will delay you a whole lot. Good luck honey! I'm proud of you for seeking an education to better the life of yourself and your children!
