Can you believe this commercial?

I just watched a commercial on tv for a topical antibiotic ointment where the little girl says her cut got infected and her mom had to take her to the emergency room! For a cut on her finger? Are they kidding me? I just can't believe they would encourage people to tie up the emergency room for such a thing!

Talk about medical commercials, how about all the medications and treatments they tell you to ask your doctor about anymore?

Can't sleep ask for L*^%$#@, can't pee ask for F*&^%$, Can't do the romatic thing..you have 3 or 4 choices now and can get a free sample in the mail too. Heart burn, ask for the purple pill..It goes on and on. The drug companies now advertise on TV so the patients will put pressure on their doctors to order the drug.

Oh, no kidding - but the one that I absolutely hate the worst is the one for that non-prescription male enhancement stuff - "Smillin' Bob", or whatever his name is! That guy gives me the creeps!

speaking of "the purple pill" on my m/s floor it seems everyone who gets a room gets a protonix every am. this is insane. my patients will say " i don't get gerd or heartburn" i offer for them to refuse but 9/10 they'll say " well, if the dr thinks i need it...".

A lot of my male friends complain about that commercial. My reply to that is "After the years of dopey feminine itching, period, tampon, maxi pad, K-Y douche commercials, it's about time the men had a commercial that made them want to cringe.":smokin:

It's like the commercials years ago about women who were immediately post partum C/S and talked about how the hospital gave them Tylenol and it relieved their pain...........yeah........they just forgot to mention the codeine part of it!

I saw those. Don't have kids so I don't know the pain associated with childbirth. I had a dr ask me when I was having a gallbladder attack if I tried to take tylenol. I told him that's like taking baby tylenol.

I couldn't imagine tylenol taking away the pain after pushing a watermelon through a hole the size of a straw.
