Has anybody taken the MAT (Miller Analogy Test) lately?

Mine is scheduled for next Monday, after which I'll be applying to grad school for my Masters in Nursing Education.

Both schools are completely online, and yet only one requires the MAT.

So, if you've taken it recently, any tips?

I'm dreading it..

I'm in the same boat. Someone please respond and let us know what we're in for with this test!

Me too. Some please respond.

I took it in November... If you know alot of literature, art, you will be fine... I did not.. so I had to study I used a book and it had 10 sample tests and I just went through them over and over and tried to learn as much as I could.... I got 416 I think.. anyway I was pleased... I sure hope this gives you a clue....

Let me know how you all do!!!

I took it last summer. It wasn't bad AT ALL. I didn't do anything to prepare, and I still scored above 90th percentile. I'm not sure there really is a good way to prepare for it as everyone's test is different. Some of the folks I tested with got a lot of art and music history questions, but I don't remember getting many of those at all. Good luck with your tests everyone!!

I know I am not well versed in art and literature.. maybe except for the classics. I am planning on using Kaplan.

No I didn't use Kaplan, it was a McGraw-Hill book just called MAT strategies.... I think it helped me alot.... there are some people who do fine without studying...fI knew I would not be one of them... so I chose to study prior mainly due to art/literature/history. kind of thing.... but it really is not bad....

I knew a lot about art and history and lit, just because I read a lot. I used the Kaplan study guide, studied for one day and made a 446, which was in the 96th percentile. It is not bad at all. If you half study, you will do fine. Good luck!!!!
