There are many forms of the "gallbladder purge"-- an old home remedy that has been around forever. My husband started having significant RUQ pain. He is fortyish, obese, doesn't always eat the best (lots of greasy foods). He tried (somewhat skeptically) the regimen below. The results were astonishing. Numerous blue-green softened stones were passed--looked like little peas. Something very simple, with very little risk, that saved him from imminent major surgery.

    Gallbladder Purge/Flush (Stones Treatment)

Fast for at least six hours prior to taking the Epsom salt.

    1) Two hours prior to taking the solution, take 1 tablespoon of Epsom salt in 4 oz pure water.

    2) Squeeze out a minimum of 4 oz. fresh grapefruit juice (two grapefruit will yield 6-8 oz. and that is fine). DO NOT USE CONCENTRATE OR BOTTLED; ONLY FRESH SQUEEZED.

    3) Mix grapefruit juice with 4 oz. of extra virgin olive oil.

    4) Mix thoroughly and drink quickly--It is palatable when well mixed.

    5) Lie down on your right side for at least 30 minutes.

    6) You should see positive results in 2 -3 hours.

    7) Eat only bland food the day following (NOT FRIED---eg., fruits, soft vegetables.

OF COURSE, AS WITH ANY HOME REMEDY, CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE USING (DISCLAIMER )

    Yep.
    1. Fire ant stings. Immediately rub the blister with a sport type antiperspirent stick (the white chalky kind-not the one that goes on clear.) The aluminum in it will stop the pain, dry up the sting and make it all better within a few hours.

    2. Ingrowing toenail. In the top center edge of the nail clip a small V . It will take the pressure off of the corners and stop the pain. This only works at the very beginning. Of course don't cut the nails shorter than the end of the toe.

    3. Neckache, back ache. Take the sleeve of a cotton sweatshirt or even an old cotton sock. Fill it with 3-5 lbs of uncooked rice. Add a teaspoon of favorite spice....I use cloves....Sew up the open end and then heat it in the microwave until warm. Be sure to see if temp is OK. Makes a WONDERFUL neck or low back soother. Use it over and over.

    4. Cold pack. The ever popular bag of frozen veggies.

    5. Headache. Use the accupressure point in the web space between the thumb and index finger. Pinch it as hard as you can. The headache will ease off almost right away. Of course this is the "gate theory" but it still works. j/k

for a common cold, i'm not kiddig on this either:

2 slime dogs, fries with slime sauce and 3 beers.
    for those that don't know:
    slime dogs are texas hots.
texas hots are hot dogs with this beef based sauce, onins and such, yummy
i suppose you could do 1 dog and 1 or 2 beers
    serioulsy though, it works

also zinc, not the nasty metal tasting lozengers either, take 4 tabs ( double the recomended dose) asap, than 2 tabs qd, s/s go away within 24 hours, a word of caution: take them for 10 days the the virus will come back with a vengence 24 hours after you stop taking them.

plantar warts: crush up 1 asa tab and mix with castor oil, apply to wart, cover with occlusive dsg, repeat qd with debriding of dead wart till gone.

    to prevent a hangover:
before you go to bed take 2 mov's, 1 antihistamine preferably with decongestant, and large glass of water. wajke up in am well rested, i have clinincal reasons why this works: etoh depletes your body of vitamens, specifically b12, ths by taking 2 you are getting what you lost and your next days supple. etoh is a foreing substance in the body, thus the release of histamines, which if you've ever had the flu or a cold make you fell like crap, thus the antihistamine, and the decongestant just because that was in my original "formula" btw if anybody markets this, i will sue you.

    For baby's diaper rash:

Mix one cup of unbleached flour with one cup of pure corn starch.
Spread mixture on a baking sheet evenly.
Put in 325 degree oven and bake until tan in color. Do NOT BURN.
Let cool on baking sheet before spooning into a clean container.

(((Keep a lid on the container to keep out dust, etc.)))

Use on baby's bottom just as you would baby powder. This mixture cleared up my youngest baby's really bad diaper rash when she was less than six months of age. Today, she is a mother who uses it on her babies.

A patient's mother told me of this home remedy. She swore that it worked better than anything you could buy at a store.

Your patient's mother is absolutely right, Rileycat! I have nine grandchildren who have all had this home remedy applied to their bottoms once upon a time, and it never once failed to work. I also have two step-grandchildren, but am unfamiliar with their lives prior to age five, I just didn't want to leave them out of the count of "All My Grandchildren"!
