Hello all,

I'm starting this thread for the new applicants for the hrsa nursing scholarship 09-10. Tor prettylady, I think its a random selection. Its the luck of the draw.

Massage2RN, I have taken out loans each semester since Freshman year (3) years, and they are all in deferrment.

To others: I had my credit checked and can't login. I am sitting on hold waiting to speak with a HRSA CSRep now, but looks like I'll be hanging up because the wait is expected to be 15 minutes. I'll try to hang on for as long as I can to get us some answers.

So I wasn't on hold for long thank goodness but I didn't get a lot of answers. At first the rep was really nonchalant about me not being able to log in. He stated that it was no big deal because we wouldn't receive any notification through the system. He stated that letters hadn't been sent out yet and it would probably be within the next 2 weeks. He then went on to say that maybe my password had expired. After I was persistent about some us wanting to know why we could or couldn't log in, he told me to hold on and then he came back and told me that I could login and it worked. I don't know what that was about, but that's how it went.

Thanks Khervey, I appreciate you calling. You are right about the hrsa reps they are very non-chalant. I had a problem with logging in about a month ago. I thought I had put the wrong password in and called HRSA and got it reset. Now since other people are complaining about logging in Im not sure if it was something I did or not. Oh Well.... hang in there guys we'll know very soon!

OK on the Credit check did anyone get A bunch of letters with Hrsa and then another credit check with the same bunch of letters... i think i have been checked twice.... once on august 7th and another on august 18th

Kybooky1, I only had a credit check once and that was on july7th.

Good Morning Everyone!

I got an e-mail saying that I was selected as a finalist!! It said that I am not guaranteed a winner but I am either a recipient or an alternate! I have to fill out a form and send it in within 24 hours!

Anyone else get the good news?

Did you guys notice if the email was sent to many recipients?

I got an email this morning stating I am a finalist but not guaranteed to receive an award. They are sorting through finalists and alternates. I have to send back a form via fax within 24 hours indicating whether I will accept the award or not.
