Anyone out there planning on going to Orlando Tech for their LPN starting in August? I'm currently in the process of applying for the daytime program, but I feel very in the dark. I went to the orientation, I've sent in my online application, and have heard nothing since. I called and left a message for someone in I think nursing admissions (I got transferred a few times) regarding the next steps. I'd love to meet some people that are going through the process currently, or have done it recently and give me some pointers!

How many spots were taken when you receive your packet?

I'm so nervous about not getting a spot because of having to wait two more weeks to retake the TEAS and then having to get everything in :(

I've spent the day trying to track down my immunization records, and it's proving to be much more difficult than I expected! I know that I need a TB test since I don't think I've had one in years, and I need a tetorifice booster- but I didn't realize how much they were going to cost!

if you go to the health department they should have a record of your immunizations, that's where I got mine. I got my tb at a local walkin clinic and with my insurance it was only $20. o tech gives you a list of the prices for the centura walk in places when you get your packet after you pass the teas. i had it but threw it away because i didnt need any

I'll have to check with the health dept in Connecticut. I'm probably going to CVS for my TB test since my insurance doesn't cover it and either there or the health dept for tetorifice.

Woohoo! Tracked down everything. I have all my vaccination (and chicken pox infection) records, my high school transcript is on its way, I have a doctor and dentist appointment set up and my two references lined up for when I take the TEAS in 2 weeks!
