223 points should be able to get you a seat for E&W for summer! But remember each semester the cutoff points change!

Ok I was reading the student handbook that CJ emailed a couple weeks ago and it stated that as of Summer 2009 it is mandatory to wear polo's and khakis to school! That means I need to buy more than one! :(

First off, CONGRATULATIONS to all those who will start nursing school soon! I wish you the best of luck! :yeah:

Second, I'm wondering if anyone could shed some light for me. I'll be applying for Summer 2010 session with 223 points. However, I'll be moving from Duval to St. John's county right before the application deadline, and I have to have nights/weekends since I will be working full time during the day in my current position. My question is will it even be possible to get into night/weekends if I'm considered "out-of-county"? Any insight would be much appreciated.

I live in St. Johns county (Julington Creek Plantation) and got in this semester. With 223 I would be shocked if you do not get in the program. You are good to go:) Just my opinion. I would not worry if I were you - you will be fine:) Good luck!

So you think that we need to have the polos and khakis from the first day of classes FurtureRN mom? Yikes! Well, I should be able to have some more $$ by orientation. I think I read you can purchase them there. I think I will wait to purchase the skills kit until the day of orientation. I heard it's near the campus anyway, and that drive is on a need only basis right now (45 minutes)! So I plan to work quite a bit while I am in the program until I can't anymore. Does anyone know what the times of the classes will be like, or where I can look them up? Also, Are we all taking the same 4 classes the first semester ,but just at different times? One more, does anyone know if they are going to be able to offer us an installment plan for tuition?

Thanks!

If you look in the handbook it is typed in all caps that polos and khakis need to be worn during class, hopefully they elaborate more on that next week at orientation! Haines rd is about 20 minutes from the campus! Its on the eastside closer to downtown! We all take the same 4 classes just different sections with different times! Be prepared to go to class anywhere between 7 am and 6 pm! Hopefully we get low #s so we can pick the actual section with the hours we prefer! I dont know about installment plans if they go by the college schedule u may have to pay in full the day before classes start! Have u tried worksource grant? They only go on your info and not your spouses! Anyways exactly 1 week until we find out our schedules so excited! :)

Thank you very much for your vote of confidence, I hope you are right!

anyone knows where exactly the orientation takes place? whenever i get there, the security has no earthly idea where things are, moreover where particular buildings are.

also, anyone else goes to the diversity program orientation saturday? now, there was no classroom specified either.

thanks!!

Folks, I am in the Summer 09 group.... we DO NOT wear the polo's and khakis to school. We dress as we always do. The only thing you will need the polo and khakis for is your community service.

Thanks guys!! Good question about where orientation actually is though, anyone know? (obviously on campus somewhere , lol)
