FCCJ SPRING 2010

U.S.A. Florida

Published

I know it is a little early, but anyone plan on applying for FCCJ's spring 2010 program?? If I can get my Nat points up and if I do well in Micro this summer , I will be ready to apply!!!:yeah:Finally!!

I have been seeing that you can log onto BB and join the group for the med terms test. If someone could help me out by being a little more specific that would be great! I went to the BB website, and saw the communities tab on the upper right hand side, clicked, and it brought me to a page with three different types of communities to join, don't think that was the right place. If you could provide a step by step or close to that would be great!

Thank you so much, and congrats to all who got in! And good luck to those applying again.

cdettelbach,

Once you click on the communities tab it shows a list of campuses. Click on North campus, then it will give a list of all the organizations. You have to click on "enroll" to join that specific organization. I am in nursing tutor north, and nursing student orientation. Once you self enroll (this does not mean that you have to pay for anything, this is all free) you should be able to see all of the information. I hope this helps.

HOLY CRAP! What base did you go to? I have an appt on Monday for my physical/titers and now im nervous about getting them back in time! btw, did you just say "I need my titers drawn"? bc when i called for my appt they had no idea what a titer was, lol. Nice to see another navy wife! congrats!

The nurse from internal medicine called yesterday - my titers came back. It took 10 days but that is over the holiday so I think that is pretty quick! all were good to go so i do not need boosters:) Hope everything went well for you at the base and is moving along!

zeta,

did you tell the nursing program that it would take 2.5 weeks to get your titers back? and what did they say? I'm having the same problem, I have everything done except my titers are set to come back sometime in the middle of next week, but the paperwork i due dec 7th! ill have to call them today.

Yes I called them and it is not a problem just ask the base to give you proof that they were drawn and it will be fine:) I got mine back yesterday - the nurse called. Call central appts 542-4664 and leave a message for your DR to call u with results ASAP but in the meantime ask the DR to leave a copy/proof that the tests were ordered on your blood sample for you to pick-up. The Dr's nurse will call you w/in 24 hours. Good luck!

Not sure how long you have had to deal with navy life. But my husband has been active for 13.5 years so if you need anything with base info/ins and outs you can call me. But you could be seasoned at the miltary life more then me! I am here to help, if you need me:) Good luck with the base!

ok great! I'm heading to the clinic now (my husband works at JAX but my dr is in mayport) to get my TB shot read, hopefully when i go they can get me a copy of something that says i did get the titers drawn.

No, my husbands only been in for 5 years, I've learned ALOT about military life in those years, but I'm sure you know a heck of alot more than me by now! I'll let you know how it goes, i think my uniforms are supposed to come today too (crossing my fingers!!)

How did everyone get notified their uniforms had been shipped? I ordered mines on 11/20 and I haven't heard anything yet

I got an email just a few days ago (which is weird bc i ordered them on 11/22 i believe) saying they were being shipped via ups. I used the tracking number and they went out on the truck this morning at 7am, although im STILL waiting on them.

Well my stethoscope has made its way to the post office in Arlington! Hopefully they bring it to me today!

I turned in all of my paperwork today! Just an FYI, you do need to put all of your medical info in one folder and give it to Crystal and one folder needs your drug test copy and background info in it for tanya (i think that is her name, I could be wrong. I don't have it in front of me).

I ordered my uniforms on the 22nd and I just got an email saying they will be here tomorrow via ups.

I turned in my paperwork in ONE folder I put medical info on one side and the background info on the other side you don't need two! Just have them separated and attn on both side and they will give it to the right person!

A little broke here....I have everything but my physical and flu shot which I am getting done when I pick up my titers Friday. Am I correct in saying we don't need skills kit , unis, and other stuff ect by Monday? Just bg check , health stuff, and prints, right?
