It's been a few years, but I remember all too well the sickening feeling waiting to see if I had passed or not. I had the computer shut off at 75, and I just knew I had failed. What was worse, was that the hospital I was orienting at had hired 10 new graduates and I took the NCLEX first, but several of them got their results back waaaaaaay before I did. I had nothing on the phone system, nor on the computer website. One of the other graduates said something about a criminal background check...I started thinking then "oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!".
Not that there was anything there. But, FINALLY I had found out that I passed. It is awful waiting though.

I took 75 questions with RN NCLEX and about 125 with LVN/LPN boards. With LPN boards was not too sure. RN boards I felt pretty good about how I did. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, I just took the test today and it cut off @ 75. Deep inside I feel that I more than likely did well. But there is this nagging, heavy feeling deep inside my belly that keeps saying "what if....." Now I'm trying to patiently wait for my results to be ready
You guys are totally right on it honing in on your weak areas, me: L&D and mother/baby who got a TON of L&D/MB questions, yeah you guessed it ME!!! I still think that I did fine
BTW I need to check and see how many questions were considered "throw outs"

Hey guys I have a question I haven't taken the NCLEX yet but I heard that they changed the format of the exam. Is it true that there are some fill-ins? DO you have longer time to take the exam if there is fill-ins?

Well you have 6 hours to take the exam. In terms of fill ins, I'm not sure what your referring to. You have to type in the answer on math questions, but other then that I did not have any type of "fill-in" questions. I would refer to the booklet or website of the test administrator to see what type of questions will be presented.
Good Luck, I'm sure that you will do fine

Everyone I graduated with at school last semester whom I asked passed at 75 questions but our program is rigorous and we've had a 100% first time pass rate on the boards for at least 10 yrs.

I just found out yesterday (May 28) that I passed the NCLEX!!!!! I had 265 of the most grueling questions you could have. I thought I had failed, but I didn't. I had a lot of different questions over many subjects. They didn't ask me the same type of questions over and over. I heard if you get the same type of questions you are not getting them right.

Thanks Jessica, I will check with the test administrator in regards with the "fill-in" that I have been hearing about.
