Multiple Answer Questions on New NCLEX... Help!

  1. 0 Hi everybody! I am about to finish my 3rd level in a BSN program and will graduate in December. My school tries to gear our tests to reflect what is on the NCLEX. Well, they have started adding these "answer all that apply" questions..... and I HATE them. I usually get them wrong! I can pick out 2 that are correct for sure, but then another answer seems to go along with it and i put that one down too, and... i just get them wrong. My question is for all of you that have taken the new NCLEX.... Are there alot of these multiple answer questions on the test? Did you feel pretty confident about them? Also if anyone has any suggestions for me on how to answer these questions correctly i would REALLY appreciated it.

I can tell you that some people get none of these questions on the NCLEX, some get 1 or 2. And I got 31! Statistically, I was sure I failed. But, I passed with 75 questions.

Just keep practicing NCLEX questions...that is truly the best prep for the test.

    Good luck,

I had the multiple questions on my LPN so I am sure they are available on RN test too.

THIRTY ONE of your NCLEX question were "answer all that apply"? I hope they start putting these types of questions on our class exams!!!:uhoh21: :uhoh21:

I didn't have ANY select all that apply :bowingpur

Our teachers started doing that the last semester of nursing school, and I never got them right. I always ended up choosing an extra one, or not choosing one.

I had a few (can't remember exactly how many but it was more than 2 or 3) and I thought for sure I got them all wrong. Still passed with 75 questions.

My advice is to not stress over them; easier said than done, I know.

I had 7 of the new format questions. 5 were select all that apply and 2 were fill in the blank drug calculations.

There is a book called 150 New Format NCLEX-RN questions. It is by Lippincott. It is helpful. I would suggest either getting it from the library or buying a copy to share with several students.

I took the NCLEX-PN yesterday in 85 questions. I didn't have any 'check all that apply' questions, but I did have 11 of the blank drug calculations.
