I know, I know....you've all been asked this probably a million times, but out of all the nurses, I feel you would know the best shoes to buy for long shifts! I'm just a student right now, but I have a little scoliosis...so shoes are important to me!! Please help!! Thank you!!

I work 12 hr. shifts and I definately, hands-down recommend Dansko clogs. They're pricey, about $100 minimum, but they'll last much longer than ordinary shoes. I just looked up their website, it's http://www.dansko.com where you can look at the shoes and get locations and online retailers. They've got all kinds of colors from basic white to blue, red, pink, whatever. Hope this helps!:)

I rotate through two pairs of new balance shoes. Only because they come in 4E width, and after standing/walking for 12 hours they stay comfortable.

The other night I wore my Nike golf shoes, Felt great. Didnt do the floor any good. But I felt great Soft spike ones of course

I have two pair of Nike's that I rotate. I go with Nike cause I have narrow feet.

I fyou like a pair of lace ups - then go for a pair of Doc martens - not cheap i know, but my last pair did me for 3 1/2 years workign full time. Otherwise another good choice is a pair of slip on colorados - damn comfy and look good with pants, shorts or skirts, where as the docs really only look right with pants :)

I love Skechers. They are so light weight and have such a wonderful arch support in them that I could wear them every day. I used to rotate until I bought these. And http://www.shoebuy.com has a deal and I got them for $38-no shipping. How great is that?

I got a pair of Birkenstocks (?) about 3 weeks ago and they are terrific!!!

I love Merrells (I feel like a sales rep, this is like the 4th thread that I've mentioned them on). They come in a variety of styles (Nurse, backless, hiking shoe) and I can wear them for 8 hrs and not get sore feet.
