Hello,
I just want to ask if anyone here knows the salary or an average salary of a dialysis staff nurse in New York or in any other state in US? Thanks. :)

Quit a for-profit dialysis co last December (not one of the Big Two) was making $35./hr with 10 years experience. Just took a job with a non-profit at $29./hr. This is in the SouthWest.

Range for North Alabama is from $22/hr for new hires with no experience to $34/hr for 10+ years of experience. That's base pay, not including weekend/evening/nocturnal diff's.

Davita just lost out on the Aurora contract. Aurora is taking over the dialysis in the next few months. Unsure of of what that means for Davita employees. Everything is up in the air.

I started with no experience at $27 for one of the big 2. I work for a smaller co in a rural area 1hr from the nearest hospital now. They were having trouble getting a full time RN because it's out in Timbuktu. Luckily I have lived here all my life. I started at this clinic @ 32.50. I've worked here 2 1/2 yrs and make $36.25 now. I looked into a career change and talked to my manager as a friend not a boss. She went to her supervisor and asked for $2 more an hr to keep me. That's why the almost $4 increase in only 2yrs. I am in a 24 chair MWF clinic and it's just me and the manager As the only nurses so I have a lot of responsibility. (I'm in east tx)
I wouldn't start at less than $27

Question for those working 14-15
hour days- on average how many hours a week are you working?
I usually work 515am to 6pm MWF.
I work Tuesday's prn at another clinic. I typically end up working 45-48hrs a week
Thanks for the info, loveyourkidneys. I've been interested in dialysis for a couple years. I've wondered about the weekly hours. I'm fine with long hours- personally I prefer long hours and less days a week.

I make $30/hr in Portland, OR. Most start at $28/hr. The cost of living here is increasing by the day.
Average hospital RNs make $37 to start, experienced is about $44/hr.
The company I work for just took away some differentials that made me feel better about the low wages.
