  4. Thanks for the info, loveyourkidneys. I've been interested in dialysis for a couple years. I've wondered about the weekly hours. I'm fine with long hours- personally I prefer long hours and less days a week.
  5. Question for those working 14-15 hour days- on average how many hours a week are you working?
  6. Honestly, I thought you were joking when I first read your post. I think it's very inappropriate. I am sure you have a lot of time out of class when you study that you can knit. Sent from my iPhone using allnurses
  7. Another reason , is in addition to all the time it takes to complete an admission I still have my regular patients to tend to. Sent from my iPhone using allnurses
  8. My interview was with Fresenius. Sent from my iPhone using allnurses
  9. I'm interested in working in a smaller office/ facility. I'd like to be part of a smaller team that works cohesively together. I think I'm more suited to that than large impersonal facilities. The facility that I currently work In is large and there's no team work. I am looking to get into a specialty instead of a LTAC or med Serg. I have many days where I am now that I don't feel like I actually helped someone . Handing out pills isn't enough sometimes. I feel that nephrology is a field that would be a good for me. 10. Thank you for responding! Does the training take place in the facility or at another location? Sent from my iPhone using allnurses
  11. Can anyone tell me what the typical training schedule is? Sent from my iPhone using allnurses
  12. Hello, I have an interview for a dialysis position on thurs. Does anyone have any tips for me? I've been wanting to get into dialysis nursing for about 6 months. Sent from my iPhone using allnurses
  13. Pays well... Sent from my iPhone using allnurses
  14. I am working in a LTAC faculty currently. I work doubles every weekend. 16-20 hour days. If my shift goes over 16 hours they do not seem worried. If someone falls or I get an admission and have to stay late, they do not care. I am actually looking to get into dialysis now. I have an interview next week for a dialysis position. I don't think long term/ Long term acute care is my "home". I am ok with long hours( within reason). Can anyone tell me what dialysis pays? I've heard the field pays week. 15. If you're staying in Korea, I would take a semester off and take a class to learn the language. Then go back to the nursing program.
