Why aren't you considering Texas anymore? I am just asking out of sheer curiosity.

Ohhh I must of said that wrong! I am still 85% sure I will be headed to DFW after school! It just seems like the best bet all around for housing & scope of practice. I know I have also heard there is TON of bridge programs there...so it is looking pretty good
Commuter.....are you going through a local CC there? I had a friend telling me about Indiana State and it sort of got my wheels turning

I am currently taking my second semester of prerequisite classes at Tarrant County College, located in south Fort Worth. After I complete the prereqs with good grades, my next step is to apply at 3 to 4 LVN-to-RN bridge programs at the community colleges in and near DFW. I am knocking on wood that at least one school will admit me.

My coworker is an LVN who got admitted to the LVN-to-BSN program at Tarleton State University a few months ago with a 2.8 grade point average in her prereq classes. I hope to maintain a 4.0 grade point average, but there's some hope for LVNs whose grades are less than stellar.

DFW, Texas is rather hot in the summer and has plenty of flat lands.

However, the quality of life is quite good here. In addition, I can live like a queen on a yearly salary of less than $50,000 yearly.
