Its no more propaganda than what the various nursing unions are spewing at nurses on a daily basis. No different..

The only difference is that most contributors to this forum , don't copy and paste wholesale , items from their source of information ( propoganda , depending upon your point of view ) . They offer an opinion , maybe copy and paste the salient points from their sources article and give a link to the original document . You appear to simply be copying large chunks of propoganda and putting it up in the hopes of provoking a response , how well is that working for you ? :twocents:

Not looking for response...just showing the other side of things as it should be:)

Workers being exploited and abused by management? Is that how things "should be"?

Your opinion.

Why did this get posted without a clue as to what it is about.

It would be helpful if the OP posted a link to what they do not wish to respond to/waste time with.

And why would I google SIEU or California nurses or Mass nurses....the OP has given no indication of those being an issue in their post?

If the OP wishes to post something and solicite comment, then it might be useful for them to post some kind of link or a remote clue or a sample/link to a sample of what they find offensive, so we might be educated about it.

...last week, the nurse, mary hill, filed complaints with the local office of the national labor relations board against research, parent company hca inc. and two unions: national nurses united and seiu healthcare missouri/kansas.

hill filed her unfair labor practice charges with the help of the national right to work foundation, which is based in springfield, va., and says it provides legal aid to employees affected by the “abuses of compulsory unionism.”

according to hill’s complaints, hca signed a “secret neutrality agreement” with organizers of both unions, giving them employee lists and special access to the work force to discuss union matters.

in addition, the complaints allege that the agreement prohibits hospital managers from discussing union issues with the work force. management also is refusing to provide facilities access to employees opposed to the organizing, according to hill’s complaints...

Thank you, Karen, for clarifying this confusion! :yeah:

idk why a union would want to make secret agreements with employers..aren't unions supposed to be advocates for the workers? sounds kind of shady to me. not that employers and unions should be enemies necessarily, but the way things are, they shouldn't share the same goals.

A neutrality agreement has benefits to both the union and the employers , which is why they are becoming more common . The advantage for the union is that it gains freer access to the potential members , the advantage to the employer is that they have some control over that access and what the union is doing .

Just because the employer and union have formally agreed to ground rules for the unions attempts to unionize the facillity , does not mean that they have a common objective for the outcome of any vote for unionization of the workforce . Nor does it mean that the employer is going to react favorably to the need to negotiate with the union , should it win the election .

If you do not undderstand the purpose of and the constraints of a neutrality sgreement , it may sound shady ,but as they are mutually beneficial to yhe employer and potential union members I think they are here to stay .
