Excuse me? Not able to do your job?? Well everyone can be what they want if they set their mind to it.

She said not qualified to do her job. As in, not qualified with the current education and training. However, many cna's are capable of going to school to learn the required content and then take the boards. I doubt the comment was meant as an insult considering the paragraph preceding it...

Yes, if you go to school, get a degree, pass NCLEX and get a license. A CNA can't just decide that they're a nurse and start performing nursing duties. It is illegal for anyone other than a licensed nurse to practice as such.

The post that you were responding to said that CNAs are not qualified to do nurses' jobs. I don't see how you have a problem with that; that's not an opinion, that's a fact. A CNA is not a licensed nurse and therefore is not qualified to practice as one.

Well again... I am just going to school to be a CNA. I don't go around saying I'm a Nurse. It has been clear to me that people will say what they want .. I'm done with this . If people ask me what I am on the job will reply I am a CNA that's all. Nothing more nothing less... I am not in high school to be arguing with people just because they shared some opinions. Everyone has a opinion. Unfortunately there will always be someone saying that they are a nurse .. And weather they are or not.. You can't control what comes out of people's mouths.

I thank you all for your opinions . That's all

Well now people are not making sense because I never said I was going to do a LVNS job or a RNs job . So you can stop that. I know that people need to go to school and get there license .

CNA is not a nurse.

if people ask you what your job is and you tell them you're a cna, then that's the appropriate thing to say. there's no shame in being one; many of us were before we became nurses.

Ocnrn63 hi thank you! That's what I always say I'm going to school for and that's what I will be ! Until I get my LVN license, I just felt maybe it was not okay to say cna because it had the word nurse in it.. Lol but this was what I been looking for.. Common sense.., yes that's what I am am that's what I will say..

R.N. & LPN = nurse.

TechtoRTT yes those are nurses.. I get it.
