No physics on it when I took it. There are 10 pages here with a lot of info regarding the HESI A2, a few from me, as to what to expect and not expect and what study guides to use that I think were best. I got a 92.2% and was accepted so take a look at what everyone has said and let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck

Thank you soo much! all those pages helped a lot :)

Good, hopefully you will relax like I didn't. LOL. Really, I just freaked myself out for no reason. You will do fine!!!

I'm taking the exam tomorrow morning. After reading all the posts I am not too nervous. I have been studying from the recommended study guide and the Kaplan guide. I asked my advisor about the physics because that worried me as well, but she said if there is any physics it is usually just one or two questions so not to worry. Good luck to both of us!!

ok good! thanks! good luck to you!!

can anyone tell me if there are time limits per section on the exam????

I took the A2 this week and got a 96.89%. It was not bad at all mostly because I just completed 2 years of pre-reqs and had covered all the subjects on the exam. If I had been out of school for a while it may have been harder. I am just waiting for them to receive my high school transcripts and hopefully I will hear good news soon.

Oh, it took awhile for them to get my HS transcripts but you for sure got in with that score and a decent GPA. I didn't take the pre-reqs in HS or college and got a 92% and got in. So don't worry a bit, if you want to go there, you are in!!!

Congrats. Nice that it's over, isn't it!!!

I took the A2 on Friday, with half an hour of study (seriously, reviewing the book in the car before I went in) and an ear infection (can't hear out of my left ear, very distracting) and still scored a 90.5%. It's not that bad of a test. No physics on there at all. The math is pretty basic, as is the grammar. A&P was my worst, which didn't surprise me since it's been three years since I took that class. You will all be fine! Review the study guide and get plenty of sleep the night before :)

So I just applied for the fall semester in oct 2009. I have everything sent in from transcripts to ACT scores... Do I need to take the HESI exam before I can get accepted or will they call and tell me? Also my GPA in College is a 3.6, but I only got a 19 on the ACT, and im not sure what my gpa even was in HS. Do I have a chance at getting in??? I'm very anxious, I feel like calling them everyday to make sure everything is going well!

You have to take the HESI exam before they decide so study up on that.. use the study guide book that they recommend. It is very similar to the HESI exam. For the science portions and some math, I also studied the Kaplan Nursing SChool entrance exam book. Start studying early, like right now. I think you have a chance because since you did well in college, the ACT score would be such a big deal. Also just do real well on the HESI and you should be fine. Good luck!
