Since this thread was six years old, I doubt the OP is still awaiting your answer.

    ?
True. Nevertheless, I find this info interesting and can share in the discussion.

I have talked to two recently graduated CRNA's and they both started out in the $120K range (Ohio). I also personally know a CRNA who has over 30 years experience and was recently offered a job in a large hospital for $240k (Michigan).

I understand where you are coming from, but we all know that they make on average 100k+...unless you get some shotty deal or you are a shotty CRNA. It is evident that this degree program is the most bang for your buck. We need to delete these threads.
It's funny you say this. No one wants threads closed where there asking how much people make an hour in certain states. Or which hospital pays what in each city. Or when a new grad wants to know how much they would make. I guess income is a touchy issue with some people. Yes some people become CRNA's for the money just as some people want to be famous or want to be a doctor because of the money and prestige. Whatever the reason someone picks a job, if there great at it and qualified it should not matter the reason there doing it. So if someone wants to know the average a certain job makes whats wrong in this?

i can tell you all, that if you want to be a crna for the money, dont bother. invest in real estate or play the market. i am currently in my first year of anesthesia school at drexel, and i can attest to the fact, that there are easier things out there to do if your soul purpose is to make some cash.
i haven't seen the inside of a pub in 4 mos, and this for me is terrible. i spend every waking minute studying for the next exam. i have truly sacrificed my life for the next 2 years. however i must say it's a real cool job and i wouldn't trade it for the world.

I agree Cherish - what's wrong with talking about money? Docs talk about it incessantly! They get all bent out of shape worrying about whether CRNA's are eating into their market and feel that because they went to school for another yr and 4/5 yrs of residency earning only a nurse's salary, they're owed $400k/yr....

Its important to stand up for ourselves and share information. Of course we got into this field because we want to make a difference! What's wrong with getting paid well at the same time? And what's wrong with sharing information so we know what being paid well means? That way we all benefit - or should we go back to the "eating our own"
approach which empowers no one but administrators?

i agree with wes. i am in my 1st semester. if you want to do it just for the money, i do not think you will make it thru a program to make the big $$$. you have to live , eat, and breathe anesthesia school. nothing else!! you will study 12-14 hours a day, 7 days a week! it is alot harder than you ever imagined. i will never regret my decision and i am fully commited for the next 28 months. it will be the hardest thing you ever do!

    Hello,

I have just a few questions. First I wanted to know how much does a CRNA make in an hour? What is a day like as a CRNA? I'm not as good in math as others, and I never had any teachers to challenge me in science. Do you think that will knock me from becoming a CRNA? I really love helping others, and I'm also very passionate and a patient individual. I really want to become a CRNA, but I never had that confidence as much as others. This will be my first year of college, so I new to the college world. Does anyone have any advice for me?

The CRNA's I work with start at $ for a new grad 150,000. In my area I have never heard of anyone making less than 140,000. There are many positions about an hour away from where I live that are in the 220,000-260,000 range if you want to take a frequent call schedule and work in a busy OR.

Wow, I know that CRNA's make six figure salaries, but I saw over $200,00! Wow!
