Hi everyone!

Is anyone applying to San Francisco State's program for fall 2012? I haven't seen any threads on it... Just wondering since apps are due in a few weeks!

I know! too bad, i was looking forward to making a new friend too! hehe well, take care!!

Whoo Hoo~I got accepted into the Spring2013 semester!!!

Now I am looking at the response form..does anybody know how we are supposed to send it back? Print out and mail it or by email or fax? I don't see a number for faxing tho..

I did too! we may be classmates!! and they mentioned in the email to Fax it, thats what I am going to do!

@iamgonnabeanurse, yay you're gonna be a nurse! congrats :) & congrats amberku for getting into sfsu AND usf that's a great accomplishment! I'm faxing my response form also. For all the spring admits, what classes do you think you're gonna take for fall?! and how many??

Congrats to you as well!!!! And thanks so much!!! I was shocked! lol And it looks like I am going to check out ASSIST.ORG and take as many GEs that i have left to take in the fall so that I can get them out of the way. If i only have a few, then i'm going to take an art class to ease my mind before the program begins!

That is, if i go to SFSU, i still dont know what one to go to! ahh

Thank you! hmm..I'm not even sure what GE's I have left to take...but art sounds like a lot of fun! Wonder if they have a yoga class lol... & does anyone know what they mean by "Segment III GE's"?

ahh...decisions decisions. research..think long & hard! If $ isn't an issue, I'd choose USF if I were you. But ultimately it's your decision, not anyone else's! good luck!

Hey AmberKu, CONGRATULATIONS to you too!!!

But my problem is that I don't see a fax number provided...Are you going to have it faxed to the office number provided on the form?

Hey guys! Segment III are upper division general ed classes, you have to take 9 units and they must be taken at SF state. You can see info about it on the SFSU website by looking at the bulletin.

Yes, there are hatha yoga classes, which I've heard are fun.

Unfortunately, art classes are restricted to students who are art majors. I would have loved to take an art class here but alas, it's not really a possibility. :(

Ok - so question for wait listed students - does your admission status list your secondary major? So far mine still lists it as "Pending Admission Status" but looking through SFSU's transfer criteria, it says you have to accept your admission offer by May 1st. It doesn't make any sense unless they decide to notify me sometime next week! I'll have to contact SFSU SON to make sure but it's a Saturday so I figure I might try here first.

@ms.chia: my status was the same as yours---but on changed on Friday, and I was able to accept my admission into SFSU. My major is now listed under "Health Education".Once you accept offer, there are more things for you to read and accept. Once I accepted, my financial aid package changed again. Hope this was helpful. Let me know if you're attending---maybe we can meet up! Positive thoughts for all of us wait listers!

Don't believe everything you hear from an employee at a very expensive private school...they have other motivation$.

I'm in the SFSU program. Degrees outside of nursing are taking a long time to obtain because everything is impacted. Nursing is different. Your spot is reserved for all nursing classes. If you have all of your G.E. done prior to starting nursing school at SFSU, there is absolutely no reason you can't finish in 5 semesters.

There is a Segment III Upper division requirement you must do in order to graduate...it's 9 units you must take after you've completed your first 60 units. Most SFSU nursing students opt to take them in the summer time when they don't have nursing classes. It could be fair to call that a "6th" semester, or you can take those courses when you have a lighter load, say level 4 or 5 (4th or 5th semester).
