SFSU Fall 2012

Hi everyone!

Is anyone applying to San Francisco State's program for fall 2012? I haven't seen any threads on it... Just wondering since apps are due in a few weeks!

I retook the TEAS yesterday so as soon as I get my results, I will be sending my app in! Are you applying to any other schools?

I just retook the TEAS on Saturday too so I will be sending my application in on the 23rd. Has anyone found or read any pool statistics links to get a sense of the competitiveness?

I just applied as well! I know on SFSUs website it says the average pre-req GPA is 3.6 or higher with 2 of the 3 supplemental criteria fulfilled. I have a 3.5 pre-req and 2 out of 3 so I feel like I have a chance! Even though I know a lot of applicants are more in the 3.8 - 4.0 range :(

Hi guys,

I am applying this year too. I took the Teas V Nov 19 and go only 76% :( I put a lot of emphasis on science section and completely ignored the English section in my studies before the test. As a result I've got 97% on Science section and 73 on both English and Math sections:uhoh3: My GPA is 3.6 and I have 3/3 supplemental, but I don't think I stand a chance after my Teas test disaster...Those of you who took the Teas twice, did you find the second version harder or similar to first one? Thank you and good luck to us all!

I took the TEAS twice at East Bay. Both exams were the identical. However, I didn't do better my second time around because I did not study as hard.

Btw, they only want to see "proficient" or higher. They don't care about the actual percentage.

Whoops, dunno how I double-posted. Sorry!

How do you know they don't care about the actual percentage? Is it not taken into account with your application?

Also, the application says post marked by nov 30 this means I can send it in on the 30th right? I am waiting for my TEAS exam scores that were supposed to come last week and I called/emailed the SFSU School of nursing but they haven't replied .. might just pay the overnight shipping and send it tomorrow just in case. I got a 76% on my first TEAS exam (it was proficient) and if you are correct that they don't care about the actual percentage then I will probably just send it in with that score.

I called them & asked.

I'm not sure, but I think the website says you have til Feb to send in your score?? And yes, you can send it on Nov. 30th

Oh wow. that is kind of relieving to hear that they don't take your percentage score into account. Maybe I should mail mine in today then since it won't matter if my score is higher? and on the website it says send the official transcript by nov 30 i believe
