  1. Hi Jacquipals, Thank you so much for your reply! I am planning on taking the School nurse certification and rather work in public school district. I am glad that with certification its easier to find a job as a school nurse! Do you know if we are on the same pay grid as teachers?
  2. Hi! I know its an old post, but I am looking to get into School nursing in Boston, MA and was wondering how difficult is it to get a position. I am RN, BSN with 4 years of acute telemetry and med/surg experience. Also, working on my MSN in Public Health... TIA!
  3. I've just received an official offer for medical/oncology unit. I am super excited to start this journey! My first day would be March 23rd and I am trying to figure out rent situation. If anyone renting a room for a couple of months before I find my own place please let me know! Or at least point me out to a classifieds for Bismarck rental. Thank you in advance!
  4. I think its for medical oncology unit. At least I hope so, since few of my classmates already work there.
  5. Wow! What an inspirational post DatMurse! I just had my interview with St.Alexius for med/surg floor, the lady who interviewed me was super nice. I hope I'll hear back from them soon. On average, how long after the interview you've heard back from them? I'm super excited and cannot wait to move to ND and start practicing nursing!
  6. I am quiet low on the list too... Hopefully most of you guys have some other options for this year, if not, best of luck next year!
  7. I am quite annoyed with the Ohlone right now... If the lottery results already available, why not to post them right away instead of making applicants wait for the email! As with the previous posters, it took me 3 trips to Newark facility to be eligible to apply which rounded up in about $60 in gas money on the top of other expenses. I'm not upset that I wasn't selected, after all it is a lottery, but I am really irritated with the selection procedures.
  8. I think they will have to post the lottery results within 20 business days. At the orientation they said that 40 students alone with 40 alternates will be notified withing 20 b.d.
  9. I haven't heard anything either... Ohlone was one of the several colleges I applied for this fall. I wish they just posted the lottery results for us to check instead of making us wait for the email!
  10. No, they didn't mention anything in the letter. I'll see you at the orientation.
  11. Good Job! Congratulations!!! Although I was accepted to Evergreen and CSUEB, I am leaning towards San Mateo college. The program have a great reputation! Do you happen to know when they will be sending nursing program packages?
  12. I've got in!!! Funny, I've got rejected from SFSU and got in here... Not sure I'll be accepting the offer, though... Good luck to everyone!
  13. @ Spiffyness, Thank you, I'll be fine:). I also applied to CSUEB, but don't think I'll go there even if they take me, too far, too east bay... SFSU was my favorite choice because I wanted to relocate to city before I graduate, but I guess I have to wait until I finish my ADN. Your stats are great! I'm sure you'll get somewhere for Fall 2012 if you choose against SFSU.
  14. Congratulations Spiffyness! I also got an email, but mine was a rejection letter . Ohh well, I'll start ADN program this fall and do the bridge later. Good luck to everyone who still waiting for the responce!
