Hi faithkeepsme! Congrats on getting in! Are you taking the teas through San Mateo? If so, it shows the dates and times they administer it at the school. I am also taking the Reading Test! Do you happen to know why we need to take the Reading test if we already completed English 1A?

I've also applied to CSU East Bay and San Bernardino, Los Medanos, and CCSF. CCSF already sent out letters. I didn't get chosen for their lottery. I won't be finding out about the other schools until later..

Yes I live in the bay area! I'm in San Jose! San Mateo is about 40 minutes for me. Idk how long it is with traffic in the mornings =/

Hi @Dark @Mikey, I'm a bit confused. I never received any email about paying a deposit. The only email I've received is about my incomplete application. I turned in my initial transcripts to the Nursing department, but I thought transcripts to the school weren't due until July. Have you guys already been accepted into the school? Maybe that's why I haven't received an email about paying a deposit? Idk..

Hello! Are there any fellow College of San Mateo Fall 2012 applicants?

I applied to all lottery ADN programs haha. I can't apply to most CSU's because my overall gpa doesn't qualify. Also, the whole retake policy is another issue. When I went to the information meeting at CSUSB the person said that they will accept the better grade as long as it's from a different institute. I really hope that's the case because I retook two classes to boost my prerequisite gpa! I noticed on the website it states they no longer accept retake of classes with a C or better, but when I emailed and asked again they said it is accepted! I dont know.. I wish all schools allowed repeats! It feels like my grades are set in stone. =/

Me toooooo! CSUSB is far from home for me (I'm from San Jose), but I'm willing to move! Is this your first time applying to nursing schools?

@darkbluephoenix my overall is less than yours. I took a lot of classes right out of high school and didn't to do so good. even though im an A student now, my old grades are haunting me it's also preventing me from applying to a lot of csu's so im only applying to East Bay and San Bernardino. I'm also applying to 3 ADN programs. I hope at least one will accept me!

Depending on how they calculate the GPA my prereq is between a 3.7-3.8 Teas: 87.3 Overall gpa: not competitive. haha (+letter or recs, bilingual, and info meeting) As far as residency, I am from Northern California. @ST1004 @DarkBluePhoenix: You guys have some good stats! I'm sure you guys will have no problem getting in! Is CSUSB your first choice? The 6 month long wait is going to be dreadful.......

Hey DarkBluePhoenix, Do you know if we need to send initial transcripts to the Admissions office as well? What I see from the website it seems that the documents due to the Nursing department by March 1st are: teas results, initial transcripts, language proficiency, and letter of recommendations. Then final transcripts are due in July to the Nursing department AND Admissions? Is that correct? Thanks! :)
