You might want to check this site, which is somewhat accurate:

I know that a new RN makes about $20 an hour, maybe $25, in the San Bernardino/Riverside area, but I can't speak to LVNs or the LA area.

I'm an LVN and I work at a hospital in Palmdale. Palmdale is part of L.A. coutny and it's about 45 minutes north of Los Angeles. The new-grad pay out here is: LVN $14-16/hr, RN $23-25/hr. If you work in Los Angeles you will get paid a little more.

Specializes in NICU.

RN new grads at our hospital in central CA start at $27/hour plus diffs.

Los Angeles area is $25.36 for new grads (goes up to about $30/hr after first 6 months)

Don't you mind if I ask, what hospital you are working?

thanks

Hecky poo....I was a travel nurse in Palm Springs, CA for the last few months, and they only paid me $27/hour! Did they rip me off or what! And...I'm a "seasoned nurse" at that! :angryfire

I am in the san diego area and I've been told to expect $15-18/hr for LVN new Grads.
