Just finished my first semester. Ask me anything.

Yes, MeTheRN, you are a great help to this forum. You are a nice person. I hope and pray you'll be blessed more...and that you'll have straight A's, and will automatically land a job as soon as you graduate. Goodluck and godbless!

Can you pm me your leasing agent? As well as your condo/apt? We'll be there this June and we are going to find a place. If buying is option on this markey, we'll consider that, tgen rent it out to the next batch of Wolford students. I really appreciate your advices. You are a good help.

Thanks so much. How is the real estate market there?i heard it is a good time to buy? He already has submitted his clinical site preference, if i couldn't find a job in NCH, would the school still consider his request to transfer his clinical site to Tampa? As we have 2 small kids, I would rather stay put in one place.

Just finished my first semester. Ask me anything.

We are looking for a place to rent or buy. My husband is the one going to school and I will be the one working. Unfortunately there are no ICU/CCU positions available in NCH and Physicians Regional for me. I have to travel to Ft Myers Healthpark Medical Center. With this set-up, where do you recommend us to live? Is Estero too far from NCH downtown (one of the clinical sites)? I don't want him to drive too far during your clinicals. Thanks.

There is also a Home Equity Loan from Penfed that has 1.99% interest rate, payable in 5 years. I will look at this first before the Stafford and GradPlus.

Do they offer tuition remission for dependents of employees?
  9. To those who are working at Mayo Clinic, how does this program work for your dependent child entering college? Thanks.

Is this program (Head-Start Program) offered to future students, who have not applied and therefore not accepted yet into the CRNA program? I understand that the Transition Chem course (ANE 695) can be taken before the application to the program. Thanks.

NO jobs for new nurses, I may quit school.

I don't know where you are located, but in our area - TEXAS, we still offer sign-on bonuses for 2-yr contracts (new grads included). Better relocate, than stay at home without a job.

Are you working in a university-affiliated hospital?

Thanks sunnycalifRN! I looked at Stanford's website. You are right, the hosp employees are not eligible for that kind of benefit. I am willing to relocate as long as we can avail of this benefit. I want to do it now while the kids are still young.

Thanks for responding. Which hospital is this?
  15. I want to know if your dependents are offered discounted or free tuition fees. Kindly post which hospitals offer this benefit? Thank you!
  16. Mb3, Did you apply as a non-degree student to take those Core Nursing Courses, or you apply as a NP applicant?
