I want to know if your dependents are offered discounted or free tuition fees. Kindly post which hospitals offer this benefit? Thank you!

Specializes in ER, OR, PACU, TELE, CATH LAB, OPEN HEART.

Each university offers it's employees their own tuition program. For me dependant children are entitled to 50% of undergraduate freshman tuition at that university to use at any school for four years.

Other places have varying tuition programs from 100% to partial tuition depending on the school.

Thanks for responding. Which hospital is this?

I used to work at Stanford Univ Hospital in Calif and because you are a hospital employee, not a university employee, no discounted tuition. Even though the hospital is affiliated with the university, it is a separate institution.

However, if you work for the university itself, dependents can get a break on the tuition (if they can get in!!)

Thanks sunnycalifRN! I looked at Stanford's website. You are right, the hosp employees are not eligible for that kind of benefit. I am willing to relocate as long as we can avail of this benefit. I want to do it now while the kids are still young.
