MSMC ABSN Fall 2013 Program

Hi!!

Just wanted to see if there were any other people on here that applied for the Mount St. Mary's ABSN Fall 2013 program? I just turned in my application yesterday and crossing my fingers that I get in.

From reading other threads about this program, I hear it's pretty competitive.

Hope to hear from some other people soon who also applied so we can all wait this out together! :)

I got a response today confirming my interview but I got it later in the day. I was checking my email quite frequently :)

HI all,

I received the same email update. Can anyone confirm what happens for those who didn't get in in the meanwhile? I read somewhere that the portal will not update the status for them and that a letter will be sending out. Trying to figure out whether I should be holding my breath for an email or a letter!:nailbiting:

Hi waitingfor. I was originally rejected because they weren't going to accept one of my classes. They updated my portal to "denied to the college" on May 14. I called the minute I found out to schedule an appointment to find out why. I was actually able to speak on the phone with an advisor and found out that they weren't accepting one of my classes. I sent the course description after chatting with the advisor. Admissions decided to accept the class and my application would be considered after all. The next day I got a rejection letter, however it was dated May 14. I was told my app would be considered on May 15 or 16. My web advisor has not been updated since 5/14 (with the denial) but I got the email update about the interview emails being delayed. Even though it hasn't been updated from "denied," my application is still being reviewed (supposedly).

From what I gathered from the advisor, if you are chosen for an interview they will email you letting you know when (or maybe asking when?). Letters with the decision will be sent out some time in June (and I'm assuming it will be similar to my earlier situation- they will change the web advisor status the day they mail the letters). Of course, I'm not positive but this is what happened to me earlier during this process.

Hi everyone! I was originally accepted to the ABSN program here at MSMC for summer 2013. I chose not to attend because I got into a different school. Just wanted to let you all know that the invitations are sent out over a span of 3 weeks or so. I got my invitation the last week they were conducting interviews. I wish you all the best of luck!

Thank you for posting aleong29!!! I assumed that if I didn't get an email for an interview this week then I was automatically denied admissions. Can I ask what school you chose to attend instead of MSMC?

You're very welcome! I chose to attend CSUN and I will be starting this August. I got my email for an invitation almost two weeks after everyone else so they do spread out the interviews. I hope you get that interview soon!

So I got an email on Friday and I'm scheduled for an interview on Wednesday the 5th. Yay!! How are the interviews going? Is there anyone that has already been on one of the interviews that has any advice??
