    Found some articles on the "budget" the LAC+USC nurse recruiters and HR have been blaming this Long Wait for a Start Date on..

    ... when calling the nurse recruiter and expressing my deep concern about the plausibility of this RN SICU position even happening, she told me: "youve waited this long, just hang in there and wait a little bit longer. we're all just waiting. "

    Good find, I really hope the final budget approvals will bring good news to those of us waiting on start dates... Keeping my fingers crossed!

    Hey guys after being offered the position did you get a letter from HR to call them within 5 days to talk about the position or something? I just received the letter and no one is answering... Just wondering what it's about.

    I got that letter too and I called a couple times before I got a call returned, it ended up being nothing since I accepted the position. I would still just make sure you talk to someone just in case, I always like to make sure I've covered everything with everyone so I don't miss something in the process.

    No. All I got was this colored piece of paper from Nurse Recruitment that had a timeline of events to expect; to go to HR, wait for the physical, and then another call from HR who will discuss scurbs, benefits etc. I actually called HR concerning this a month ago and the lady on the phone was upset and told me HR will call me when they get the approval from Nurse Recruitment for the position. And as we know we're still all waiting for it. Did you get another letter? I haven't heard anything in over a month

    I go on Monday to complete my physical and then take my clearance to recruitment I'll ask them if they have any info on budget, anybody have any other questions you want me to ask while I'm there?

    I called lac+USC today and they told me to send my resume and they would call when they had something available. This seems very different from Harbor who have told me to just keep calling. Hoping to hear something positive soon.

    I was told that they hope budget is done in the next month because they would like to get everyone who is cleared in before the holidays/end of year. She gave me a paper with the start dates from this point and there are three left 2 in November and one in December. Now it's just waiting on the phone call with a start date
