LAC+USC interview new grad RN

Hey guys, I have a question. I had an interview with LAC+USC and received a letter that I passed the oral exam. I read in the letter that they are going to contact me if positions open up. I am a new grad RN. Have you been in my situation? How long does it take until they call you? Do we have another interview after the oral interview or this is it? Please share your experience with me..thank you

I am in the same boat as you are. I recently spoke to the recruiters and they are still waiting for the ICU nurses. Hopefully its sooner than later. The budget has to be approved before the year ends, so we can at least expect something.

thanx mamda...=) i hope to receive a letter so i can call around all the hospital list that they gave me... and for those people who was hired in the ICU, i have question.. do you all have experience in MS or is there any new grad like me that they hire in ICU? coz i really wanna work in ICU or CT-ICU but not sure if they will hire me since i don't have a experience.

I'm a new grad like you and got hired in CT-ICU. You can apply to any RN I positions.

I applied as soon as I passed the NCLEX. You need your RN to apply.

Congrats on your start date! What unit are you working on that is starting on the first?

I don't know that it's done by unit just budget cuz I'm oncology

I asked because the budgets should be allocated based on units of need. So Oncology should be a Med/surg unit. So no luck for the ICU starters. Good for you tho.

That makes sense my brain is not in thinking mode today... I hope you hear soon when I was there last they said they hope to get everyone she made it seem like all the people they have made offers to... Good luck! I'm sure you will hear something soon!!
