Hey guys, I have a question. I had an interview with LAC+USC and received a letter that I passed the oral exam. I read in the letter that they are going to contact me if positions open up. I am a new grad RN. Have you been in my situation? How long does it take until they call you? Do we have another interview after the oral interview or this is it? Please share your experience with me..thank you
Anyone with ICU start dates please post info. Thanks......

Can anyone recommend a "refresher course" in the LA area? I've been hearing a lot about it but don't know where they are offered. I've been out of school tooo long and am rusty on a lot of things.
Calilove-- don't give up! Perhaps some of the people offered positions and have not started have found other positions- so they may have to interview again to fill up those empty spots once they get the 'okay' on the budget.

California School of Health Sciences offer a lot of classes for health care professionals. This school is well known and a lot of nurses go here. They have 2 locations: garden grove and LA. I went there for my advanced EKG and critical care classes. I highly recommend them.

Hey ICU-ers, I just got a call on the start date!! Unfortunately, I didn't answer my phone and the msg didn't give an exact date, and when I tried calling back they were already out of the office I went on here hoping you guys got the actual date, but I'm glad to actually start!

your not alone with that feeling Calilove.. I just finish my 1st interview last oct.19 and after my interview i don't know what to expect coz same as you I'm considered as a new grad.. but Im keeping my hope as high as what other people did, coz I know its gonna be a long process as what I read... Hope you and me will receive a letter that we pass the 1st interview...Good luck to us=)
Hey thanks for filling us in! When did you complete all the clearances? I'm wondering if theyre making calls based on hire date because I haven't gotten a call yet! The suspense and wait is killing me! Haha
I received my health clearance mid-August. I'm suppose to be in CT-ICU. But I have a friend who finished clearance around the same time but for another ICU, forgot which ICU, anyway she has not gotten a start date yet so I think they're calling by unit...
