U.S.A. California

Hey guys, I have a question. I had an interview with LAC+USC and received a letter that I passed the oral exam. I read in the letter that they are going to contact me if positions open up. I am a new grad RN. Have you been in my situation? How long does it take until they call you? Do we have another interview after the oral interview or this is it? Please share your experience with me..thank you

med surg i think in diabetic unit. i completed everything on 9/25. goodluck!! i hope to meet you guys at orientation

Sweet! That's so exciting to know someone will be starting. Hope to hear similar news soon

Congrats to all the hired ones!! I am still a couple of years from getting my BSN, but can I ask what's the new grad pay rate here?

It's really competitive with what is out there in Los Angeles currently, and of course it may be different a couple years from now and I don't know if it varies on type of degree or unit and experience level but the website for the county shows RN I pay as 5450-7940 Plus like most of the hospitals offers differentials for nights weekends etc

I was told that they hope budget is done in the next month because they would like to get everyone who is cleared in before the holidays/end of year. She gave me a paper with the start dates from this point and there are three left 2 in November and one in December. Now it's just waiting on the phone call with a start date

which recruiter did you speak to? I am also waiting for a start date. I've been cleared since mid September.

the one who's office is in the middle.... She said its what they are hoping to accomplish

Anyone have any information regarding ICU new hire start dates or the budget approval? Appreciate it!

Did any of you guys apply with LAC BEFORE you finished nursing school? I'm graduating in Dec. and wanted to apply now (since the app process is so long) but the job posting is making me think twice:

"License Information: Please ensure the License Section of the application is completed. Provide the title(s) of your required license(s), the number(s), date(s) of issue, date(s) of expiration and the name(s) of the issuing agency for each license as specified in the Minimum Requirements. Applicants must attach a legible photocopy of the required license to their application at the time of filing.

The required license MUST be current and unrestricted; a provisional, conditional or restricted license will NOT be accepted."

Hey J062282! I applied soon as i got my license. I believe you need to be licensed before you can apply (if not, you may get a letter of rejection..that's what happened to my friend) Also, they'll ask for your license during the initial interview, they will photocopy it for their files.
