I'm sending off my packet today. I stayed under 500 words! I thought 500 was a lot but apparently I had a lot to say! I called the hospital and they told me that everyone who applies does get a packet Somehow I thought I was special! haha! We'll find out soon enough. I wonder how long it takes for them to tell you they want to interview you or not!!

Lol at first I thought the same thing :) I had 500 as well and could have said more haha I hope they get back to us soon! Waiting is the hard part. I want to plan it all out, its my OCD lol JK

Also I called the office today and asked if it mattered when they received the packets, because I'm on the east coast and have to mail it. She said that they read every packet that gets to them in time so no need to rush deliver! Just saved myself $50!!

I just wonder when they start offering interviews. Has anyone called to ask about that?

The waiting is what will kill me!! I have so many questions like "when do you find out if you got an interview?" or "how many people are applying?" or "when do you know if you got the job?"

It's so hard!! waiting stinks! :nailbiting:

Do you think it would be ok to call and ask or is that to much ? Lol

Also did you call the main line and tell them who you were or did you just ask anonymously ?

It is defiantly nail biting it's like getting into nursing school all over again hahaha

Lmbo ok I will call tomorrow lol... I have read all the past posts looking for clues. Trying to figure out time frames. It's crazy I know but I really want this job !! I know what the package said if we don't get a call by 5/20 but I really hope I know something way before then.

The package said they will be calling people a week after the package deadline (so a week after 3/29). I think it's to prescreening interview over the phone which is like 10 minutes, than if they like you, another in person or over the phone (for those out of state) will be scheduled. However if you don't hear anything by 5/20 then you were not selected. I got this information from their website, package info, and one of my school mates that was accepted before for PICU.

Yeah I think they'll call approx 4 weeks after the initial application deadline or 2 weeks after the packet deadline. Based on the other threads.

That helps more then you know thanks I was wondering if they did phone interviews. I am out of state so that's good to know!!
Do you have any ideal on how many applied this year ?
