Maricopa Waiting List / Placement / Timestamps 2010+

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a place for people to post and repost about waitlist times, placement runs, and their timestamps.

It is very hard searching for all the information and maybe people will access this thread and keep it updated with information so we all can get some idea on where we stand in line for Maricopa Nursing Placement.

As for me I have a

6/11/10 8:01:32 Timestamp. The placement just ran on March 6th,2012 and I was not placed. On the application website it says that the placement did NOT reach the June timestamps. This will mark 5 semesters that I was not placed (was expecting a 3 semester wait)

I am curious how far the placement ran. If people that were placed during the last placement run (3/6/12) come across this thread and would be willing to post their timestamp and what school choice number (1 through 5) they were placed in that would give an indicator how far away it is.

With almost 2500 people still on the waiting list it looks like it can be a 4-5 year wait for people just now getting on it.

Just got a call today for placement at GCC in the accelerated program. My timestamp was from August 2012. Can't remember the exact time, but it was a very early number like 8:00am and 06 seconds

Would like to clarify that it was Gateway CC, not Glendale

I'm in the Gateway CEP/NAU traditional program did you accepted it? How long did you wait? Congratulations on getting in.

Gateway CC accelerated was my first choice. I believe I turned in my application in June or July 2012 and it was placed in the August 2012 group. So about 2 years wait.

I haven't accepted it just yet, because I have been slacking and I still need to get microbiology 205 done. I also work, so nursing alone will be tough and adding micro to the mix will be almost impossible. I'm thinking about deferring and getting micro done this fall. We'll see..

Hi all, new to this site. So I have a question. The placement groups is a randomized date/time stamp in a 2 month period. When they place people does anyone know how many placement groups they go through? my time stamp is 4/2013 8:00:27! hoping I get my first pick! I'm so ready to start!

Its not really done by groups. When you get your randomized timestamp for your group, it puts you at the end of the line in the order of your timestamp for your group. Then as people get placed, the line gets shorter for you and people are added to the line behind you. Between CEP, regular placement, and hospital relationship placement, there will be about 300-400 placed each semester. For the most part, placements go by who is in line first until someone in line has selections that are already filled up, so the system moves to the next person until all spots are filled. So essentially you could get placed before someone in line ahead of you based on your 5 placement choices. So in a nutshell, there really isn't an amount of groups they get through. When I was placed, my timestamp was 8/11 8:03 and some seconds. It was close to 8:04. Anyway, I was placed with people from 2/11, when most of the 2/11 group had already been placed the semester prior. It was just based on their selections. If you are looking for about how much longer you have, I would say it possible to get placed in the Spring/15 but unlikely because I believe they are working as far as about 06/12 currently. But there is a good chance that you will get Fall/15 as long as there wasn't a rush of students who applied between June of 12 and your timestamp. Have an 8:00:27 is a good place to be for that group because you are in the front. GL. I hope you get your top choice when your time comes!!!

Hi all, I'm new to posting here but cruise the board every now and then. I was just placed on the waitlist this month 8/8/14 with a time of 08:00:42am.....anyone else on the recent waitlist? I was told current wait is two years, is this accurate?

I think it is around there or longer. If my friend has a time stamp of 08/13 and she has been waiting a year already and they are only on 06/12. If I were you and if you have time I would try to do the CEP program a few extra classes, but it is worth it and you get your BSN.

Just found this forum and I think it's great that you all have come together to deal with the stress of anticipating this wait! My Timestamp is 8/9/13 8:00:09. Now, I know that I have a LONG ways to wait, but considering that there was an earlier post about them placing someone with August 2012 timestamp just recently is encouraging. I am seeing so much info about when people are being placed and the wait being up to possible 5 semesters...whoo! Anyone else in for the long haul?? We should become forum buddies.

Oh I'm definitely in for the long haul! My timestamp is 8/8/14!! (Forgot the actual time but I want to say 8:00:43? I believe it's posted above). Which colleges are your top choices?

Choosing Gateway Eve, Mesa Traditional, Mesa late start, Gateway Traditional, and finally Scottsdale as a last ditch effort, ha! What about you?
