Hey everyone, I wanted to start a place for people to post and repost about waitlist times, placement runs, and their timestamps.
It is very hard searching for all the information and maybe people will access this thread and keep it updated with information so we all can get some idea on where we stand in line for Maricopa Nursing Placement.
As for me I have a
6/11/10 8:01:32 Timestamp. The placement just ran on March 6th,2012 and I was not placed. On the application website it says that the placement did NOT reach the June timestamps. This will mark 5 semesters that I was not placed (was expecting a 3 semester wait)
I am curious how far the placement ran. If people that were placed during the last placement run (3/6/12) come across this thread and would be willing to post their timestamp and what school choice number (1 through 5) they were placed in that would give an indicator how far away it is.
With almost 2500 people still on the waiting list it looks like it can be a 4-5 year wait for people just now getting on it.
Look forward to chatting with all of you and good luck.
I'm at 8:01:05 so we are all really close together! I need one of the evening or weekend programs as well because I stay home with my daughter during weekdays and have no great options that would allow me to do a traditional program. @mrsboots87 thanks for the encouragement. I figured if any of us 12/7/12 's get in for spring that it would be in a later placement run because they left of in June when placing for fall. Good luck everyone!
Well I finished all the requirements for the CEP so now I'm in a bind if they place me for spring. When is the next registration for CEP? Anyone know? I might just defer for the sping (if my time is up) so I can apply for the CEP.
Hello, I'm in the CEP program just to let you know they usually take applications in February for the fall semester. It takes about 2 weeks to find out after applications are in. Good luck it is a great program.

Also keep in mind, that even though they left off in June, that doesnt mean its the whole group. They could have left just a few that couldnt take but just a few options. As for being a SAHM, I am as well but picked both the evening/weekend programs and traditional and was ultimately placed in a traditional program with all daytime classes and clinical. Have you looked into daycare scholarships for your kid? That what I had to do for mine so that I wouldnt have to take out so much in loans. Its different than DES childcare subsody. A lot of daycares offer it through the same program (but the name escapes me right now). It is income based but the income requirements are MUCH higher than the DES requirements. Just something you could maybe look into to increase your chances of getting placed. I pay 101 a week for full time for a toddler that would normally cost about 240. Thank God my older child is in kindergarten and class times fall all around that. Just a thought because I know the struggle of finding ways to make school work when you care for your children all day.

Wow that's good info! Does each daycare do their own scholarships or is there a main website that I could look at? By the time I likely get in my daughter will be in preschool but only half day unless we could afford the large bill for full day! I'm planning on family help as my dad is semi retired and my mother in law stays home as well so they have both said they can help as much as needed while I'm in nursing school but id like to look at all my options!
Just to give you guys some hope. When I was admitted, it was during like the 3rd or 4th placement run for that cycle. Maybe, even fifth. I just know it wasnt during the first couple. I had an 8/11 stamp and when placement started they were still placing people from the April and June groups. So they usually span about a 6 month period because many students have limited availability and can only take certain options, and some were accepted other places and just decline the offer. As well as a few other reasons. Basically, if you dont get placed on the first run, dont get down. There is still a really good chance of you getting placed for Spring during a later run. I was even like 8:03 or 8:04 and some seconds. So nowhere near the front of the line for my timestamp group. GL on Tuesday!
Great to hear thank you kindly!!!
Just remembered the name of the program. Its "first things first" if you google it, it will bring up there main site explaining the program. Its one program that awards each daycare so many spaces. My daycare faciliy gets 9 slots. On the site when you google it, it will have a list of participating daycares. All you have to do is call and ask if they have any opening for the scholarship. The program runs from July of one year to june of the net and is first come first serve. So if one facility doesnt have any scholarship spots available, then you can just call another. When I found out about it, the daycare we were using had 2 spots available. This year, the program was reduced but I still got one when applying in August. So just call around when your time comes. It covers infant through age 5/preschool. Thats great you have family to help too to keep the cost down. Daycare was my biggest worry when starting because until this semester, I had 2 kids in daycare/preschool. With 2 kids I was only paying $204 a week with the scholarship. Still expensive but way better than full price.
I just got my placement notification!!! For Spring 2015 at SCC. I can't seem to find my time stamp on my application status page but I applied in December 2012.
I'm so excited and nervous and just feel.. surreal! I thought I'd be tapped for Spring 2015 but I wasn't really counting on it. :) Now I guess I really gotta light the fire under my butt and get all my immunizations and everything in order.
Good luck everyone!!
I, too was accepted to SCC for Spring 2015! It was my 4th choice however. I was hoping for a night and weekend program. But, I've been waiting this long, I'm excited! My timestamp was 12/12 8:00:58.
Now to have the conversation with my employer that I want to go to part-time. This will be a toughie for me. I"ve been there 10 years.
Anybody know what days and times the SCC program classroom and clinical are?
