I am also thinking of going agency when i move to nashville in a few months. It sounds so nice compared to what i am used to. Do you ever happen to get a little lashback from other floor nurses because you are making more than they are? Also I wondered if it is difficult to get shifts if you only want days. It sounds like a real option for me

My first orientation with my first facility as agency was, (I kid you not)......"Here are the keys, there's the med room, nobody died. See ya!" And out the door she went.

Luckily I happened to pick the one aid out of all of them who is absolutely the BEST I have ever known, and cried on her shoulder. She helped me that night, and has helped me more since then than any other person I have ever met.

So, some you win, and some you don't.

I love it, and don't ever think I could ever go back.

I am going to move out of state after about a year of working after school to get money saved. Agency is almost everywhere, so I won't worry about a job then.

Go for it!
