To dejavu88- mine is a spousal sponsorhip,my wife has a pemanent residency in calgary.you can check it out all the requirements and information in their website-www.carna.com-right now i have not pass my application yet because i'm still preparing for my IELTS exam and still need to add my hospital hours experience at least 1125 hours which CARNA requires.i just passed the board exam last december so i still lack hospital experience,i need to double time..hehe.i think it would be more advantage if you have more hospital experience.Good luck!

hi redtwin,

just wondering....you're doing a volunteer work? I understand now-a-days, It's hard sa atin to get a certificate of employment if you will not work for 2 to 3 years continously in the hospital. Usually hospital will not issue a certificate of employment record and if that is the case.... is volunteer works enough.... I mean do the hospital will give you a certificate indicating the number of hours you worked as volunteer? Di ba usually you have to pay for a training fee in the hospital you intended to work as a volunteer or trainee? Is this training certificate also enough basta may number of hours indicated in the certificate? Any idea? thanks

hi! im doing my volunteer work right now and here in iloilo city we have a lot of hospitals and medical center who accept volunteer nurses and they dont ask for any payments. They issue certificate of volunteer work and they indicate the number of hours and months also.I'm not sure if volunteer certificate is enough but in my case since i'm a fresh graduate i have no choice but to take volunteer work for a start..

hello there.

my husband and i came here in canada just this january 20 under working visa - the fastest way to go for pinoy nurses rather than waiting for fsk approval.

you must first apply for crnbc registration, application fee is about canadian $250 which includes criminal check fee. im not sure if your being a company nurse would count. you need hospital exprience for at least 500 hours for the last 5 yrs or else you will need a refresher course if you graduated more than 5 years ago. once your credentials get approve - you will also pay for the interim/temporary permit for $30/month for max of 9 mos. unlike us, here you first must work for 3 mos b4 you can take ur licensure exam and you will wait for another 2-3 mos for the result of the exam.

once you get approve for crnbc registration, you can start applying in different hospitals.

4 year nursing course is a must in bc and other provinces like ontario.

sort of stepping stone ung australia thing ko..i graduated last 2006 so meaning i dont need to take any extra nursing units there ryt? only work experience you said..and the minimum is around 3 months tama ba? so u think its easier to go to canada from australia than from the phils o same lang? also, aroung how much ang total cash out if i migrate there from autralia? thanks! sorry dami kong questions :)

the australian training program is actually six months, it is not six weeks. please check your information before signing to do anything. getting licensed in australia does not make things any faster for you to get licensed in canada. you are still going to need to write the canadian licensure exam, it is not waived for anyone.

mctina,

hello! I'm Nikka from the Philippines. Just want to ask...

cause i graduated with a 4 year nursing course(BSN degree)

and im planning to apply in Ontario, are they just the same in BC and in Ontario? Do i still need to take the licensure exam in Ontario? eventhough i am licensed here in the philippines?

and hows the working condition in BC and in Ontario?

do you have any idea?:uhoh3:

looking forward for your reply. Thank you and have a good day!

helo there,

i just moved to canada last sunday, burnaby to be exact, and am now an immigrant here.

I just graduated march of 2007 from cebu doctors' university and got my degree in BSN, i've taken the board exam just this june of 2007 but the results haven't come out yet so i don't know if i passed it or not. I have also taken my IELTS exam there last july before i left the country but again the results have not come out yet.

My question is: is it possible for me to register for the CRNBC test? or do i have to be a REGISTERED NURSE there in the Philippines before I can apply for it? What if i didn't pass my board examination there... what do you suggest I do? also, i'm kind of stuck here at home.. i wanted to know what suggestions you could give me about possible work opportunities here that don't necessarily require me to have a license? i mean something close to my field i guess so it wouldn't be too hard for me to adjust to while waiting for the results or something and to just keep me busy..

thanks so much for your time
