Before applying as a nurse in Australia,is it a requirement to be a registered nurse first from the country were you graduated?

Hi I'm from the Philippines and i want to apply as a nurse in Michigan,i have heard that they don't require CGFNS anymore.i have check the Michigan board of nursing website and i have difficulty of searching the application form for NCLEX. If you have any information about the website where i can download the application please help me,any info would be very much appreciated.thank you very much.

hi! im doing my volunteer work right now and here in iloilo city we have a lot of hospitals and medical center who accept volunteer nurses and they dont ask for any payments.They issue certificate of volunteer work and they indicate the number of hours and months also.I'm not sure if volunteer certificate is enough but in my case since i'm a fresh graduate i have no choice but to take volunteer work for a start..

To dejavu88- mine is a spousal sponsorhip,my wife has a pemanent residency in calgary.you can check it out all the requirements and information in their website-www.carna.com-right now i have not pass my application yet because i'm still preparing for my IELTS exam and still need to add my hospital hours experience at least 1125 hours which CARNA requires.i just passed the board exam last december so i still lack hospital experience,i need to double time..hehe.i think it would be more advantage if you have more hospital experience.Good luck!

hi dejavu!i am also to migrate in canada but in alberta..there are different provincial policies in registering as anurse in canada.you can check out the nursing website of canada.www.crnbc.ca
