    Cheeerrssss Dale...
It was really good from u. Through out my experience in all nurses and immigration portal, Dale had given wonderful information regarding immigration and all his predictions and conclusions were accurate according to me and my lawyer. He is really smart just as an immigration lawyer or more than that........
And I really don't think he was abusive anywhere.. Come on Suzane this forum is for sharing knowledge and predictions too.... So arguments have to be there... that is the way we will get to know genuine stuffs.

Dale I would request u to not leave this place because of some stupid comments made by somebody. Why should u care for that when we are all here to support u.

We all would need u here... Hope to see u soon.

I can't take the pessimistic comments of Suzane anymore thanks
Suzanne has given a lot of really good advice, She says what she does so no one will get their hopes up then dashed because things do not go their way. She is being realistic. 50,000 visas will not go far and will not help any shortage I see it as a short filler just to please the senate. I am in the UK I am not affected by the regression but I am still waiting to be processed and I have been at it 2 yrs, I get frustrated but just have to get on with things and wait for immigration. How long do you think it is going to take to process the 50,000 visas plus al the other visas that are going on. I don't think it will be over night like a lot of people on here seems to think it will be
Just my personal take on things and I thank Suzanne for the advice she has given me

Can you answer the following questions.
    1. Are you born from one of the PIC countries?
    2. When did you get your visa screen certificate and what is your Pd?
    3. How were you able to say that you are not affected by retrogression when you are waiting to be processed for two years and you get frustrated of waiting? For what?

The 50,000 visas are only for Schedule A, immigration lawyers say that there would be a separate category for them probably when the July visa bulletin is published. Well I am not going to worry how the Department of State or CIS would distribute them but they should act in accordance with the law. One more thing if you say that these visas were just a FILLER TO PLEASE THE SENATE...can you tell me who pleases the senate? Where did you get that information or it is only based on your assumption? Just ask yourself one simple question...Why would they create a law if it will not solve the problem when it was been clearly stated by the Department of Labor, American Hospital Association, AILA and many other organizations that they have acknowledge that there is a severe nursing shortage? And this recapturing of visas would solve the retrogrossion of nurses from the PIC countries.

I am not bringing any HOPES UP...I am just expressing my opinion based on FACTUAL EVIDENCE unlike some people, they are basing their opinions on their own thoughts without any evidence to support their claim. So what is the basis of such claims? Is it because someone is a U.S. citizen and have lived all their lives in the U.S. to say that they are 100% right? How about those lawyers that have studied for years and mastered the law, worked with thousands of immigrations cases and expressed their opinions BASED ON ACTUAL RESEARCH OF THE LAW, based on statiscal facts, based on factual evidence...Who would you believe?

LAWS are made to solve problems of the country, to clarify things, to put things in order...we may have different opinions in any matter but only time will tell what would happen. We cannot dictate anyone what to believe AND WE CANNOT TELL ANYONE TO LOSE HOPE and tell them this is reality without evidence. Hope is the only thing that fuels our drive. I think every foreign nurse applying in the U.S. has only one thing in mind...TO FULFILL THEIR AMERICAN DREAM. So tell me why are you applying in the U.S. when you are already in the U.K.? And tell me why did you get frustrated? The fact the you are waiting for two years is a reality that you are HOPING that one day your american dream will be fulfilled. That is a fact that you have said.

So tell me what is your experience in predicting numbers Suzanne? Is it the 5,488 posts you made here? Or your being Super Moderator that makes you superior that you can ban me here because of the TOS?

I think opinions and discussions are the most vital part of this forum here. You cannot expect that all people would agree on you and believe on you when in fact you have no basis at all. It simply goes on what you think and what you believe.

Now I answer others because I want to clarify things based on the law so that other people can decide what is the truth. Besides if you are the moderator...you should not be biased on any other opinion. Ofcourse it is on your sole judgement alone that you think I made some "abusive remarks". Or you are just afraid of others who disagree with you because they are smart?
America is a free country where freedom of speech and expression is a right.

Still I am so sorry. I hope I did not upset you. This would be my last post.

    DALE
I cant agree with you more, Dale! No one here wanted to abuse anyone. Think about it. Why should anyone try that ? No one even know much about the other member.

Only 'sin' we did is we give more weightage to the opinion of Experienced lawyers. If Steven Spielberg and XYZ are talking about how to direct a movie, I am more inclined to believe Spielberg than XYZ. When people come forward with evidences, its natural that others who are 'beating around the bush' with out any factual evidence will feel bad.

PD may be 'current' or not in July bulletin though I realistically believe it will be 'current'. We just do not know because none of us are the decision makers. But we all are trying to see light in the darkness and when experienced lawyers are saying 'hope is on the way', why should we ignore it and go behind something else ?

To answer your question I am british born and bred, I passed nclex in march 2004, I was lucky that I did not have to wait for CGFNS to sit it otherwise I would have not been able to sit it until 16 months after I applied to them. :angryfire I recieved my visa screen sept 2004, I recieved approval last month but because the hospital originally petitioning me backed out and I had to find another hospital to take its place I now have to wait 30 days before I can refile with immigration so cannot see me moving to the US until atleast the beginning of next year. :angryfire which will take me well over the 2 yr mark
the reason I am wanting to move to the US is a chance to do something different to what I am already doing now and have a challenge in my life. I never mentioned about my american dream, just that I am still waiting.
The reason I made my comment is too many people give the immpression that this is good news and all over...... is it???? All over the world various countries are having problems retaining nurses... the countries need to address these problems.... we also hear comments that taking nurses from various countries are depleting that countries resources and even today in the UK there is a survey report that 40% of overseas nurses admit they are thinking of leaving the NHS in London and that two thirds of Filipino nurses (the largest group of overseas workers) are planning on moving to the USA here is the link http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0...182303,00.html

this is just my opinion, and will say again suzanne is saying it is not over and the 50,000 will not end it and that things still need to be changed
