2yr nursing prg in nothern nj without waiting listithout waiting lists?

Published

Having a crisis, did my nursing pre recs a few years ago but still have not made it into a RN program. I applied to 2 Adn within proximity to my home and still have not been accepted even though my GPA has been consistently above 3.50, on the Honor roll and Deans's list. I currently posess an Associate in Social work but although it was my second choice next to nursing it is proving an economical disappointment. Does anyone have any insight/advice? :banghead:

Not that you want to benefit from anothers "bad luck" but last minute openings do become available r/t economic hardships, inabililty to pay tuition etc. Try other schools you might have to travel farther but perhaps you"ll find something. I would also check my state board of nursing for the passing rate of any programs you're not familiar with. I work with a LPN grad who attended one of these private Tech schools and She is having difficulty passing the Nclex, turns out her school is on a "watch list" for low passing rates.

holy name hospital in teaneck, nj.

there are no wait-lists, but i think you may have missed the cut-off date for september..

give them a call though, i had a friend who applied really late (as in a few weeks before the start of the semester), and she was accepted. good luck!

Hi Try Muhlenberg. You can apply for the fall & the spring semester. The school is located in Plainfield, Union County.

I'm not sure if Fairleigh Dickinson has an Associates program but I don't think they have a waiting list. Applied to there and got accepted but chose not to go. It's a bit pricey though being a private university. But they do have scholarship programs to help you out.

CCM does not have a waitlist, although they will tell you they do.
