i overheard someone say after 1yr you could work as a "pt" does anyone know what this is? pr if it is actually true you can do this? i am in my second semester, and would like to take any new job i can that will help me get more experience. THANKS!

Your school should be able to tell you, did they mean a PCT?
In the state of Maryland, after your first semester I believe, you are qualified to get certified as a CNA. At least that is what the BSN program I'm looking into said.

I'm in Mississippi, and after the FIRST SEMESTER we are able to work as a student nurse.

Yes, hospitals in my area will write in the job ad "CNA or completed first semester of nursing program" for requirements.
