Your views about kaplan course?

Only you know whether or not to take the course. You still have to put effort into preparing even if you take the course. Most people pass NCLEX by studying on their own.

Thank you soooooooooooo much. i really appriciate your thoughts for preparing . You well said I still have to put effort to prepare . thanks. the only thing I was thinking to take course review was may be I will be able to study more with good course review as people take this course . Disturbance at home. Cannot leave my toddler alone. Oh god Being house wife is hard too ... too much responsibilites at home. concentrations breaks.

Have you thought about taking an online review course? Hurst and I believe Kaplan offer them. You can study at your own pace at home. If you can study on your own and feel confident with that they go with your instinct. I am not that disciplined. I'm taking hurst now. Good luck!

How you are finding hurst review? r u taking dvd or which one. hos study going on?

I just finished Kaplan and in my opinion it has a really good outline to it. They also have a money back guarantee if you fail but you do have to put the effort into the course. They have tons of questions to practice with as well. I think its a good investment. I look at it this way: If i pay for kaplan and I fail the NCLEX, I get a refund for Kaplan and pay another $200 sitting fee. If I dont take Kaplan, I pay the $200 sitting fee if I fail anyways.

I am taking the Kaplan Review live-online course, like advocated stated the outline is set-up pretty nice. This will be my third taking the exam and I must say what kaplan offers is great: content, over 1,000 questions, diagnostic test to see where your weakness and strengths are, readiness test, and live online tutoring. You definitely have to put effort into this program because they have a study plan set-up all depending on how many weeks you plan to take your exam after the course is done. I am praying that this will be my final time taking this exam. I continue to tell myself that I am working on God's plan and when he is ready for me to pass this exam I will, and I have faith that this will be last time. As long as I put in the study time and continue to believe and have faith. I am also using saunders comprehensive 4th edition along with kaplan. I plan to take the exam again the end of June or beginning of July. Good Luck!

Im so inspired to read all of your posts here.i failed my exam last april and i only used saunders q&a.i guess i wasn that prepared.i am planning to take the exam this august and im plannig to take the ncsbn learning extention course.have you heard of it? Is it good? I also saw this new book o kaplan in barnes andjoble and its the latest edition.2010-2011. And it said there passing guaranteed.i hope i can make it this time.what r the preparations u r doing right now?

Not sure if you're still trying to make up your mind about KAPLAN, but I'd suggest it if you can still go for it.

My cost was added into my tuition through nursing school, so it was basically "free" to us. If we opted out of the taking the class, we didn't get a refund and the school got the money.

I think it helped. The questions are very similar to what you'll see, and they help you learn strategies to pick the best answer in some of those that the answer could very easily be between two.

If you don't pass your NCLEX, you get your money back...anything's worth a shot!

I have a friend who is currently taken it. She says it is all practice questions, no content review. She also said that Kaplan said if you are making above a 65% on practice tests that is very good...enough to pass Nclex..not sure if that is true..but it sounds great.

I am currently doing the Hurst Review Online..AWESOME. She really provides the content..but also really works on answering questions. I just love it and have started to do that much better on my practice questions.

The great think about the online course is you can take it at your pace. I am retaining so much more than if I would have taken a Live Class.
